Hi,

Staying at Contemporary May 7-12 and AKL May 12 - 15.

Does anyone know how I can order a birthday cake for my son when I'm at WDW.

Contemporary didn't seem to know what I was talking about and said to get it as restaurant we are dining in (called three times about it).

However, I want it delivered to our room at CR. When we stayed at Poly three years ago they delivered to room, but don't remember what I did.

Any suggestions would be helpful!!!!

Thanks, Lisa

Not sure if you're interested or not but . . .

I sent my husband a cookie bouquet for his 40th birthday. I ordered it from www.cookiesbydesign.com and they delivered it to POR. I ordered the Disney Characters one. They also have Pooh designs. You can personalize the message cookie. It was a big kick with my husband and 2 DDs.

Tell him happy birthday for me!

Hi! I was given the following numbers to order a cake. We are planning a trip for my daughter's 13th birthday and the CM gave me 2 numbers - 407-560-4844 or 407-938-4720. I was told to call 48hrs in advance to order but I haven't called to even ask about my options.

Hope this helps-
Jean

Hi,

We are going to be doing the same thing for my daughter's first birthday when we are at the CR as well.

I believe one of the numbers that you were given was to Chef Mickey's, which is in the CR. You call them 48 hours before you want the cake delievered (or to have when you are at one of the restaurants,) and they will have it available for you.
When you call the restaurant. you will be directed to speak to one of the managers who will take your order

Last September, we had a Birthday Illuminations Cruise reserved for my DH’s 50th. When I made the ressie, they gave me a choice of cakes and I picked raspberry filled. We did not get to go on the cruise because of a severe thunderstorm but we got the cake and took it back to the room. Oh-my gawsh…it was dee-lish-ee-ous and look how beautiful…

Everything you see is edible…the fruit is real and the shells are all white chocolate. Inside it was yellow cake with whipped raspberry filling in between the layers. Our little 5-year old Granddaughter just loved it (as did we all)! I think it came from the bakery at the Yacht and Beach Club but I’m not sure. Perhaps you could call 407-WDW-PLAY and ask who bakes the cakes for the Birthday cruise.

I had them note on our reservation (and also mentioned at checkin) that it was DS birthday and they sent a party on a tray (hats, streamers, autographed cards, balloons) including a beautiful little chocolate mousse cake to our room. What a nice surprise but I don't think you can count on this happening at all resorts. It was also DD birthday (stayed at another resort) and she got balloons and an autographed card (no cake).
Chef Mickey's gave them both a birthday cupcake with a candle on it after I told the CM at the PS check-in desk it was their birthdays.
