Cake Flavours (particularly Escape Brides)

exactly what is tropical mousse??? And i have a question... I know lynn got a chocolate chip cake, has anyone heard of them doing a fun-fetti cake??? Its one of DF and I's favorites.

Our cake was Almond cake and Amaretto Mousse. It was awesome! Unfortunately, we only got the wedding slices because our best man "accidentally" smashed the leftovers (we had an open bar, things happen. :rotfl:)

The fun-fetti cake is a box mix (duncan heintz, etc). Because of Disneys no trans fat policy, box mix cakes can not be used. Disney Bakeries make a scratch mix sponge, not a box or pre-mix sponge.

I know its a box mix, I just wasn't sure if there was a disney version of fun-fetti cake. Having a disney wedding cake i wouldn't expect them to serve me a pre-made cake mix!

It's a mousse with tropical fruits in it such as passion fruit, and mango among others. My WP was surprised I liked it as I was one of the only brides from the North who she's seen like it!

Call them and ask if they can mix sprinkles in the batter :)

Your pictures in your signature are beautiful. Who was your photographer?

I like tropical I have to make sure I ask WC about it.

Our bottom layer was choc with rasberry mousse and it was GOOD. Good. Good. Good.

Our second layer was white cake with white choc mousse. It was also good but not as good as choc.

Our anniversary layer (that we ate the week after the wedding) was marble and cannoli cream. We asked for cannoli cream specifically and were not charged extra for it.

Thats what i was thinking! :goodvibes

It's been tried. The ice cream type of sprinkles melt away too quickly, leaving only tiny spots of washed out color. And because they melt under low heat, and they are basically sugar and egg white, they affect the cake batter, leaving a gooey unbaked spot.

We had chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse filling. It tasted like a Klondike bar. Not bad by any means, but not the greatest thing I've ever eaten either.

bump!

Looking for more thoughts. Reading about all these makes my mouth water!

:rotfl:

I have pictures! :hyper:
