We are doing the yellow cake, with white chocolate mouse and fresh strawberries. we tatsed it, and we loved it! it was our favorite of all the ones we tasted!!
We had three different tiers, one layer was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, marble cake with white chocolate mousse with fresh strawberries and almond cake with bailey's irish cream mousse.
Everyone had something different and they were all GREAT.
Hello! I'm an intimate bride as well, and we are having the first tier yellow with strawberry mouse, and for no charge they will do the second tier a different flavor. So, we are having chocolate with rasberry mouse. Unfortuantly, we as intimate brides only get a few flavors to choose from and we will be charged to have fruit put in our mouse. HTH!
We're having white cake with the strawberry mousse. I think it would go wonderfully with the champagne. White cake is not in the planning kit, but my EM told me it can be done with no charge. So you may want to contact your EM if you want a different flavor.
I didn't know about the second tier, that it can be a different flavor. More decisions to make!
Yes, you can do your two tiers in different flavor combos, but for us it was really important to save our top tier for our 1st anniversary. We brought it all the way back to California and stuck it in the freezer but we also chose to have it the same flavor as the base so that we'd remember our cake as we had it. BTW, Disney cake is FABULOUS even after a year in the freezer!
We had a white cake with bavarian cream filling, and it was wonderful (not low fat, but wonderful ). By the way, we had the cake for our after ceremony reception, and then took the rest to Narcoossee's and had them serve it for dessert. We still had a ton left over (we served 10 the first time and 12 the second time).
yellow sponge with white choccy mousse and raspberries
choccy sponge with dark choccy mousse and raspberries
yellow sponge and white choccy mousse again this time with strawberries
We managed to have a piece from each layer and they were all so scrummy but I was particularly partial to the white chocolate mousse filling
