I am planning on booking this for my DD and DS for our trip in Feb. Has anyone been to it and what did you think? Also can DH and I go watch?

I did it with my niece this past May. It was a nice experience but it's not something I would do again. They walk you through decorating any already frosted dome cake (the ears, the band around the cake, polka dots) and gave some background on Amorette's. You get to take your cake with you but since it was just the two of us on the trip we ended up throwing half of it away. You do need to keep it refrigerated and it just barely fit in the small fridge in the hotel room.

Have fun!

Thanks! My kids just love the cakes I am sure between the 4 of us we could make a dent in that cake!

My husband and I did it. Really enjoyed it! I’d recommend it. Depending on your kids’ ages, you’d likely need an adult to participate. There was only one child there when we did it, and she was 12.

There wouldn’t be room for you to sit and watch. It’s two people per cake, so you would probably need to decorate two cakes.

Thanks 2 cakes would be a bit much for us..shame tho as I dont want to leave the kids there alone they are 10 & 13

Jill, I am doing this in August. There is no 'observation' option. The kids would be fine to do it, though, I'm sure. If no, could you and DD do it, with hubby and DS doing something else?

Based on the kids' ages, I'd for sure send one kid and one adult. It's really more of an "adult" experience. Mimosas and bellinis are flowing!
I saw that they served Mimosas and Bellinis I did think it would be wasted on the kids lol!

I really wanted to do this on my trip this coming December but it just dawned on me after reading this post that the class is at 9:00 am and I could be carrying leftover around all day long!

They’ll hold the cake for you. You can pick it up any time later that day.

Is there any way to get the cake delivered to a hotel room? I'd be willing to do it even if there was a fee involved.
