Does anyone have pictures of where this takes place if you have your escape wedding at SBP? I know it's in the immediate area, but where is the table with the cake set up? are there tables and chairs for everyone or not really? is it extra to have water on hand for guests? TIA!

People's pictures from their cake-and-champagne receptions usually show the bushes and a lampost in the background - I believe they set the table off to one side of the aisle leading up to the gazebo or, if there's room, set it up off to one side under the roof. There will be enough tables and chairs for everyone, and ice water is included at no charge!

For our wedding it was set up under the gazebo, just to the right of center (where our ceremony was). There were a few tables and chairs, even though none was needed. My pics are at home and I'm not sure they really show the location of that table, but I'll check later if no one else has posted.

My coordinator had arranged for a couple cans of soda and water to be set up at no cost to us (possibly because it was very hot and humid that day).

If you are having an Escape (intimate) ceremony, they will set up chairs for your guests and probably a couple of tables.

We haven't had our wedding yet, but I've seen SBP set up for several weddings. The "reception" location is located in a grassy area just outside of the gazebo. I'm posting 2 photos so you can see the area. There are plastic tables with white table clothes and plastic chairs setup for your guests.

Hmmm...

Thanks for posting up ladies!! I can envision it perfectly now!

I wonder if you can request to have it set up inside or outside the gazebo. I'm not sure what I would prefer... And it's not like I need another choice or decision to make :scared: :lmao:

You know, I vaugely recall deciding on an Escape wedding so I wouldn't have to do a lot of planning or thinking. My wedding excitement is definitely waning this week. Hopefully, I'll rebound in the near future here, lol.

Yes, ice water in carafs is available at no charge. We also added sprite for the kids and those not wanting champagne. We thought about the sparkling cider, but not everyone likes that either so we went with the sprite so they could have bubbly in their glasses as well. I just checked my BEO and it was $3.75 plus tax and gratuity for each person drinking sprite. I don't know if that was just one glass per person or not, quite frankly I didn't really pay attention. I just checked with my daughter and she said she and another girl each had 5 glasses, so I guess it was "bottomless glasses" for 3.75 per person. We had 5 adults and got 2 bottles of champagne. We had a little left to finish off in the limo ride back to the resort afterwards ! I don't generally like champagne, but it was quite yummy !

I'm not sure...

considering I've seen two different options, I wonder how much weather and number of guests plays into the decision? You might ask your coordinator...

I definitely had a wedding slump right around the time you are at now. As we creep closer to our date, I'm definitely getting more excited (and stressed!). I've been working on invitations, welcome letters, newsletters, and programs the last 2 weeks... that has put me back in "wedding mode."

That's good to hear... cuz I'm really down in the dumps about planning right now. I just feel like between work and school and the wedding that I have no time to myself. And I just want someone else to be responsible for everything for a while. And it's not just the wedding... I'm really burnt out with school. I took two classes over the summer and really had no down time to reenergize before starting the fall semester. I know it'll get better. And I really am excited to be planning a Disney wedding. I just wish I could take a break. I just don't feel like I have time to take a break... lol.

I don't know how to multiple quote in one post!!! I thought one bottle of champagne would serve up to six???? I know you said you had some left over, but how many extra bottles do you think I should get? We're having 20 total including DF and I with one child who will NOT be drinking champagne. I though I'd be okay getting two extra bottles which brings us to 18 ppl. I figured not everyone would want some.... Idk. I can do 4 bottles, I guess. How much are they additional?? Also, had anyone ever brought their own champagne or sparkling wine in? I'm guessing there's a fee for this?? Does any one know???

We had 10 people drinking champagne and we finished off two bottles. I know I only had one glass, but the server did go around and refill people's glasses. Each additional bottle is around $65, and you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol (I had thought about doing this to keep costs down, but I was told that you're not allowed. Everything has to be provided through Disney.).

Hiya!!!

I have a couple of pictures in my TR of the table where you eat at SBP. It was set up to the left of the ceremony.

There was soda and iced water available and we didn't even ask for that. I was actually disappointed that we didn't get the rest of our champagne to take away, after all we were charged for it. I have no idea how much it would serve, but I would think 6 is overestimating.

They didn't let you keep the rest of your champagne!?!?! Oh man! They let us take that bottle right back up to our room and I finished it off!:rotfl:

We are having our champagne sent directly to our room. No one else in our family drinks alcohol at all, so we'd rather have it to celebrate later that night or sometime during our stay. It is a "free" bottle of $65 "champagne" so I don't want to waste it!
