Part 4 Magic Kingdom and a big dose of Pixie Dust
I actually did not set the alarm for this Friday am. (This is a very BIG deal for me I am the commando type normally) I had decided the night before that even though we did have a schedule that we would be flexible after all it is VACATION time and we are here for 10 days. I woke up around sunrise (normal for me) and looked out the window .what a beautiful sight: Cinderellas Castle across the lagoon and a bright morning sunrise! I showered and went to the lounge. When I got back the others were waking up. I gathered breakfast choices for all and went to the lounge to get breakfast for the rest of the gang while they got ready. (Yes I looked like a food hoarder!) Everyone ate breakfast (except for me I was ready to go!) and then we headed out to MK which is where everyone really wanted to go. We took the monorail, and arrived around 9:30 am. It was wonderful not too crowded walked right in with no lines at security or turnstiles. The first thing we like to do when we get to MK is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA). For some reason this is one of our favorite rides (this and Teacups). As we are approaching the ramp to get on the boys spot a CM with green lanyard (kids only pin trading). Of course we stop all traffic to check out her lanyard! As the boys were negotiating some pin trades, I was standing next to the CM (after we got out of everyone elses way). As I was standing there, an older woman was telling the rest of her group that she didnt want to go on this ride because she didnt want to go on a roller coaster. Well she turned and asked ME what the ride was like. I assured her that it was not a roller coaster, that it was a very nice gentle ride, and she went on up the ramp. Now, the CM is still trading pins with the boys all the time laughing because everyone passing by us starts to ask me questions like I am a CM! I realized much later that it was because of the Guest of Honor pins we had purchased. (It also happened a lot more during the trip.) Well we went on to ride TTA, Teacups, and Barnstormer before it was time for our PS at the Plaza Restaurant. We got there a few minutes before our PS, so we told the CM our names and she talked to us a little bit about our hometown. We seemed to wait forever, but when they finally called us in, we were very glad to have waited. They sat us in a wonderful table near the front window. A little while later, a hostess CM came to our table and asked me to write down our name and hometown on a piece of paper no idea why she was asking this! We ordered lunch, and a few minutes later, the Mayor walks in and announces that they celebrate the 100th visitor everyday at the Plaza Restaurant and today the family was from Nashville, TN and asks if there is anyone from Nashville in the Restaurant now? We all raise our hands, and he comes over and gives us a cute certificate, takes pictures with us (free pics!) and tells us we get a free dessert! We were pretty excited. We ate our lunches (which everyone enjoyed)(the best club sandwich!) and shared the free dessert. Then it was off to the hotel for a short rest.
