Part 10 –Tuesday, August 3, 2004 Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Quest 2

This is another discovery from our last trip. I am not a big fan of hanging out by the pool or swimming and stuff like that (it is just not real fun to be in a bathing suit for me!) Last trip we had only scheduled a half day here, and loved it so much that we wish we could have gone more. So for this trip I said I wanted to be the first in line (and be BIG KHAHUNA for the day). Well the teens weren’t moving real fast at first and then Suzanne HAD to stop at the lounge for hot tea and subsequently had to go to the bathroom, all of which made us JUST miss a bus to TL. (After this event, anytime anything went wrong it was Suzanne’s fault.) Once we got there, we made our way to the beach to find a table and spot with an umbrella for some shade. We found a spot right next to the bar. We all went our separate ways here. At various times we were all in the wave pool together. This is the most fun thing to do at TL. I never understood why wave pools were so fun until I tried this two years ago. We ate lunch at Leaning Palms...okay food ate with the vulture birds that will swipe your fries if you don’t watch them. I took a nap in the sun (not a good idea). We had an afternoon thunderstorm which we waited out at TL (couldn’t go near the beach for about an hour). After that we stayed in the wave pool until about 4pm and were really tired by then, so we left to go back to the room. I don’t remember where we ate that night, but we did go to Downtown Disney to do DQ again. We waited again for POTC so that Larry and the girls could try it out. We thought that we would all fit in one game since there were six “gunner” positions and one captain, but they said that they only allow 5, so Chris & I joined two other cute young men from Venezuela. They did not look excited to see and middle aged fat woman and her soon as mates on the ship, but we assured them that we had played this before and knew what to do. Obviously they had played before too, and we all had a good time and ended up with the highest rank possible in the game. We did a couple of other things like the Mighty Ducks pinball game (we were really BAD at this). I got a soda and spent some down time in the wonderland café while everyone else played. It was off to bed again. By the way, we loved turn down service! (Especially the mint chocolates)
