:wave2:Well, hey yall!
:santa:Welcome to my dining report. :santa:
I have gained so much information and lived vicariously through so many of other dis dining reports, I have decided to try to do my own.
My name is Beth a thirty-something mom, wife, teacher, and Disney Addict. I am looking very forward to our upcoming trip in December. This will be our last trip for a while. Between braces and possible double jaw surgery for my daughter, we have to cut extra expenses for a couple of years.
We will be staying at Coronado Springs with free dining!!! :cheer2:Whoohoo! We will be there December 17th – 22nd. :santa:

Got to book a lunch fast pass for BOG for arrival day!!!:cool1:
So excited!! Can't wait to see how it works out. We didn't do the preorder one since I was sure exactly what everyone would want.
We are so ready for our trip!!! We were listening to our Four Parks One World cd on the way to school this morning!!!

Magic bands came in yesterday!!! And this morning I ordered a custom cake for our reservation at Boma! They were super sweet on the phone! Can't wait! 21 days and counting!:cool1:

Changed our BOG Fastpass to the preorder one. We got the same time, but since everyone was home, we went ahead and preordered. I am excited to see how it works out!
Also, I found some really cute mickey Santa hats and socks at Walgreens! 20 days to go!!:santa:

Well we made it back from our trip and survived Christmas!!! Our trip was very magical and wonderful. Only one hiccup with DD getting a stomach bug on our last full day. But we made the best of our last bit of Disney! We had some really great meals and some ok meals, but in all we had a great trip!!!! I will admit that I was not very good at making sure we got pictures of everything we ate. I had great intentions but sometimes it just didn't work out sometimes. So I apologize for lack of pictures, but I will give a detailed and honest review.

We arrived to CSR at 11am and was able to check in and our room was ready!!! :cool1: We got unpacked and made our way to Magic Kingdom for our first ADR/Fastpass for BOG. I was able to book it 27 days before using the website and info I got from one of the threads here on the dis. At first I didn't do the preorder since when I made the reservation, not everyone was home. I later changed it once we were all in the same room! The line was very long for the stand by, but we checked in and walked right in. The hostess did ask if there was anything we wanted to change on our selections, but we were happy with what we had preordered. We found a table in the library since it seemed to be the quietest area. We sat in the West Wing last time and the ballroom was packed. We got our drinks and waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. Very efficient.
I will say that the table next to us was not as efficient since it was a party of 8 with 4 different orders/receipts. Then they couldn't remember what they had ordered and couldn't find their receipts. So it was very confusing to the waitress to get the food to the proper couple. So just a suggestion, remember what you ordered and keep your receipt ready for when the food is delivered. It will make the whole process much smoother!
So this is what we got.
I got the Carved Prime Chuck Roast Beef Sandwich - Served warm on a Baguette with Horseradish Sour Cream and Pommes Frites and Lemon Meringue Cupcake - Vanilla Sponge Cake, Lemon Custard Filling and Flamed Meringue Icing.

Both were very good. I loved the sandwich. It was exactly what I wanted at that time. The only thing is that I wanted more of the horseradish sauce. The cupcake was extremely moist and delicious.

DH had the Croque Monsieur- Grilled Sandwich of Carved Ham and Gruyere Cheese and Bechamel with Pommes Frites and the Eclair de Orange (which isn't on the current Dis Menu)

He thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich. I took at bite (for research purposes!!) and it was very tasty, but too rich for me to be able to eat much of it. The eclair was strange. I am not a fan of orange and chocolate together. DH said it was ok.

DD had the Tuna Niçoise Salad - Warm Seared Tuna Steak, chilled Green Beans, Potatoes, Olives, Roasted Bell Peppers, Tomatoes and a Hard Poached Egg and Triple Chocolate Cupcake - Chocolate Sponge Cake, Chocolate Mousse Filling and Chocolate Ganache.

She ordered it with the dressing on the side, which I was able to do on the preorder website. Honestly, she really only ate the tuna from this dish. She is a sushi/tuna freak and loves it. She did try a bite of the salad and thought it was ok. I tried a bite and thought it was pretty good. She loved the chocolate cupcake. I tried a small bite and it is extremely chocolaty!!!!

DS ordered the Carved Turkey Sandwich- Carved Turkey Sandwich served warm on a Baguette with Dijon Mayonnaise and Pommes Frites and the triple chocolate cupcake as well.

Let's just say he LOVED  his sandwich. He said it was the best sandwich ever!!!! He also loved his cupcake. Apparently I am raising two chocolate lovers!!!!
In all we really loved our BOG fastpass preorder lunch. It was super quick and delicious!!! I loved how efficient it was and we were able to get back into the park quickly and still had very good food that wasn't your typical QS burger and chicken nuggets.

For those number crunchers like myself, I like to know the bottomline of how much this meal would had cost us if we would had paid oop. Yes, we probably won't had ordered dessert and I probably would had opted for water since I like to pinch pennies everywhere, but we did have the free dining with our reservation. And yes, there are ones who will say that free dining isn't really free and so forth. But let's put that aside and just look at the numbers. This meal without taxes would have been $77.68.

Great review. I'm looking forward to more. We're hoping to get in on Easter week.

Lunch at BOG sounds so delicious! I love that you take a bite for research purposes haha! I do the same thing, as the people have a right to know :)

Hello, fellow Cajun & teacher! :)

Loving your report so far! Yum! We really enjoyed our lunch at BOG in 2012 & I'm hoping to score BOG FP for our Spring trip!

Really enjoying your reviews so far! My mom and I scored a BOG FP for next week and your photo of the carved turkey sandwich has me even more excited!
