I jus finished watching $40 a Day on the Food Network and I was wondering if anyone had been to Cafe Tu Tu Tango? Any reviews?

Thanks!

Amy

My son was sitting beside me and when he saw this post he said,"Oh God!". We went there and possibly we will be a majority of one but I hated it. The music was a one man bandwalking from table to table shoving a microphone in your face as we tried to eat. The art was bad and the food was not that great either. I got lobster empanadas and there was no flavor of lobster in them. I do not know what anyone else ate. I did not like it and neither did my family. WE often laugh about how bad it was now but you should at least try it if you think it looks interesting. After all one man's meat is another man's poison.

I've read positive reviews on the restaurant thread on this board, and in the Frommer's guide book. We were planning on trying it and so excited to see Rachael Ray's show last night.

Bella the Ball 360- WOW! That sounds really annoying! You're giving me 2nd thoughts here...

Actually, this is a favorite place of many local folks as well as visitors. I don't know what happened in the other poster's case, but usually this is a wicked fun place to visit, and the food is quite good; hot and fresh, somewhat of a rarity on I-Drive!

Order lots of little choices and share them with family and friends. It's a neat place to go!

I've been to the one in Atlanta and thought it was very good. I would imagine they are all about the same. Good selection, fun atmosphere.

We go to Tu-Tu Tango as often as our budgets allow, which sadly, isn' t too often. :(

I haven't had anything that wasn't yummy yet and we always try different things when we go. If you partake of the adult beverages, try the red sangria or the Klee Martini - both are excellent. :D

The entertainment varies - I've seen flamenco dancers among other performers. They usually have a tarot card reader for those who want to play that game. She does not charge anything but does accept tips.

As far as the art, well, art is a subjective thing. Not everything appeals to my taste but I do like the works of several of the artists in residence.

I have eaten at both the one in Orlando and Atlanta. I have always had good food and really enjoy the place. My last experience in Atlanta did have a really slow waiter, but the food was still good. (My tip was not that good since the waiter did not deserve a good tip!)

I love Tu Tu Tango. Their sangria is fantastic! (And after a couple of bottles, the art is all wonderful, too!)

I've only once had something I didn't like and it was quickly taken away and replaced once I mentioned it. (And yes, they took it off the bill.)

The spanish antipasto is one of my favorites; I like their coconut curry mussels and mango and duck quesadillas, too. The only thing I've ever tried there and not liked was the cuban steak skewers; they were waaaaaay too well done for my taste.

We love it too. We have never has anything we did not like. The portions are appetizer sized and meant to be tried and shared. Like a pp said, the sangria rocks. Bella must have hit this place on a bad night (or it just was not her cup of tea), because we have never seen any annoying or overly loud entertainment.
As far as the art...it is not something I would hang on my walls but it fits with the theming of the restaurant perfectly.
