Cafe Orleans

Hello All! First time poster here and I have a question about Cafe Orleans. I'm headed to Disneyland in June and I have a reservation for Tuesday 6/17 at Cafe Orleans at 1:00. I'm very excited to try their yummy food but I read somewhere that Cafe Orleans is also a good spot to view Fantasmic. Would it be better to change the reservation to a dinner spot to view Fantasmic? I have 2 little ones ages 6 and 7 and we have seen Fantasmic in the past but it would be nice to view while sitting down at dinner if Cafe Orleans has a good view of the show. If anyone has any tips it would be much appreciated! Thank you

I do not think the view would be good at all. There will be people standing in front of the restaurant.
If you want to see the show while dining, I think the River Belle Terrace would have a better view. Besides...I am not sure if CO is open that late.

I agree with Girimama33 that you might have a limited view at best. I would guess you'll be able to catch glimpses through the people and structures in the way. You will be able to hear it, but that's about the only thing that won't be limited.

HydroGuy has a good map in his Fantasmic superthread, which includes a map of the viewing areas. It'll give you a sense of why CO is not really a good viewing location.

We watched Fantasmic one night from the Cafe Orleans patio after a late dinner. They had closed the restaurant, but we ate slow and stalled a bit and they let us and one other group stay. The view was actually decent, not great, but still watchable. I wouldn't count on that strategy though, we kind of lucked into it.
