I was wondering if a child aged 11 would beable to order off of the kids meal menu? i would love to beable to eat here but i noticed there wasn't much for a almost teen to eat

Yep I am not a big eater so I usually buy a kids meal for my lunch, and I never get questioned about it.

At table service restaurants, the kids meal is supposed to be for kids 9 and under, but you can give it a try. I know it's no problem to get kids meals at CS restaurants, but I've never tried at a TS one. My son has always found something good to eat off the grown up menu and we usually just split an entree.....

I sometimes like to eat smaller meals so I order the kids meal from counter service. But at table service, like my experience at BB, they did give me a hard time about ordering a kids meal. But I really have a small appetite, don't like eating huge meals before crazy rides, and can't split an order with DH (he orders the montecristo but I can't eat it because I'm lactose intolerant). The BB waiter finally agreed to give me the kids meal but made it sound like he was doing me a huge favour. So do give it a try and ask. They may happily give it to you, or they may sometimes need a bit of persuasion.

I say, if one is interested in ordering a smaller meal, via the child's menu, then one should be able to do so. I know that I sometimes like to do the former. For I am really not always interested in having a larger meal set before me. I have not ordered from the child's menu, at the BB. If anyone else has, in addition to the pp, let us know how that has worked out for you. Or has not.
I just do not think that at the BB, I would be able to order from the child's
menu, if anything, not without becoming embarrassed.

If I can put in my 2c. I have eaten at the CO many times. I love it. The soups are good and so are the salads. My favorite is the Ratatoulle. I always order that with a cup of onion soup and a dinner salad. I think a child would enjoy the food there. Its colorful and flavorful. And for dessert, I suggest the beingets. OMG very yummy. I dont know if they still have DREAM CAKE but not only is it a sight to see, but it is out of this world!!
And for the grown ups, the coffee is really good.

thank you everyone, my son is 11 said he won't eat anything oif the adults menu but i know that he would eat the kids meals of chicken etc. i want to try the monte cristo so bad lol. we also want to try the pomme frittes and the mickey mouse beignets, all looks so yummy lol

Me too...seriously, she may be almost 13 but she's TINY and she eats like a bird. I've never had any issues with her ordering from the kids menus, at TS or CS. I've never ordered from the kids menu at a TS place but I have from CS.

The Dream cake is good but you can get it other places too. Rancho has it, we always grab one of those for dessert. And if you go there get the Pomme Frites, YUM!!!!!!!

Maybe it was just our waiter...but he eventually relented after my persistance that this was all I wanted. At CO, my DD13 who's a real fussy eater really enjoyed the chicken gumbo soup and the pomme frites (my order, but she started eating my food). We also shared the beignets. I agree with you that those are the yummiest pomme frites!!!

The pommes frites are very tasty, and is served with a most delicious rémoulade (I like that word, it dates back to 1845) I love that sauce.

Simply delish!

Maybe, or maybe I have been the lucky one. I don't usually do it at TS places, usually at CS only, it's easier there. I get embarrassed by ordering off the kids menu at most TS places. LOL I've never tried it at BB, I always order off the regular menu. I don't think my DD would even try the chicken gumbo soup, she's sooooooooooo picky, it's really annoying sometimes. lol

Oh yes, the remoulade is amazingly good. YUM!!!! I want some right now...is it lunch time? Altho I don't think I have the time to drive 6 hrs to DL for my lunch. LOL

Pixie, if you do have 6 hours to drive to Dl for lunch, let me know.
It would have to be for dinner though, or as a snack, by the time we arrive.

LOL As much as I'd love it I just can't take the time off work right now. Too bad, we would definitely enjoy a CO lunch/dinner/whatever right about now wouldn't we? lol
