Cafe Orleans or River Belle Terrace before MHP at 5:40?

We won't have party tickets for Oct. 29th, so I thought I'd make a ressie for my DS and I to leisurely have dinner and people watch as the costumed start crowding in and before we get kicked out at 7. Can anyone tell me which of the 2 subject restaurants would be better for people watching? food? we haven't been to either. Thanks.

Check the online menus for both restaurants to see which one appeals to you more. The food styles are very different at both places. (You can find the menus on allears.net.) If you sit outside along the railing at either place, you will be able to people watch. You can also people watch from Plaza Inn and Jolly Holiday, since they both overlook Main Street and the Hub area. Check to see what the latest reservation times are for the 29th. Dining hours are shorter at TS places on party nights to make sure non-party guests finish and leave before the party start time.

We ate and Cafe Orleans last year before the Halloween party we were attending started. We thought it was the perfect spot to relax and watch all the awesome costumes passing by.

you'll see the very most costumes on main street at carnation cafe but if that menu doesn't suit your taste buds then cafe orleans

I think either venue is a good choice for people watching. There are outdoor tables at both locations that have a view of the walkways. If you do go to either venue, I'd request an outdoor rail side table (but they might not be able to honor/accept requests) for the best chance of seeing guests as they arrive.

I think either would work. We were in the outside seating at carnation cafe last year and were able to see lots of people coming in for the party. Seeing that is one of the reasons we got tickets for the party this year!
