Cafe Orleans lunch reservations

The window for ADRs just opened for the first 2 days of our trip. I wanted to make reservations for an early lunch at Café Orleans but the earliest time it's offering me is 1:30 on the 11/16 or 2:30 on 11/17.

Any idea what's up?

Change the number of people and everything magically opens up. I wanted a ressie for 1, had to book for 3. Wanted one later in the trip for 2, had to book for 4. You can call Disney dining to get it dropped to the right number of people if you want.

That did the trick! I try for alternate numbers later in the game when I think the ones for 2 might have been picked over, but I never expected anything to be picked over this early in the game.

There was a report here on a solo diner booking the Halloween package at Blue Bayou with Disney Dining on the phone & they had no availability initially. But by the time they looked for a table for 4- bam! Availability opened up. I think that's the record right now, a table for 4 for 1. It's a ridiculous system. If it wasn't for the people here on the DIS I would have thought I was out of luck when I was booking a couple weeks ago too.

It's probably because there are very few tables for two at Cafe Orleans. So the system is trying to find you a table for two, even though you could fit at a table for 4. Sometimes the system seems really picky like that...
