Cafe Mickey Question

Hi,

Our family will be spending the next three days at Disney. I'm interested in going to Cafe Mickey for the character experience but I don't quite know how it works. Can you order a la carte from the menu and therefore get out of there for under 100 euros? We have 2 kids who eat close to nothing and DH and I could share a pizza, I'm sure.

We went to Auberge de Cendrillon and loved the experience but were so busy with the characters that nobody ate anything and we spent 150 euros! Crazy!!

Any advice would be great. I did read some reviews but couldn't find the answer to my question. Thanks!

Yes you can eat a la carte, or if you have half board you'd probably get more value from the set menu. But you can order whatever you like if you wish.

Hi there!

I think you could easily do it for under 100 Euros.... :thumbsup2

What I'd recommend is maybe buying two pizzas to share between the four of you. My Fiance and myself ordered a pizza each the last time we were there, and they were delicious, but absolutely huge:

They were (I think) 15 Euro for a straightforward Margerita pizza, but then an extra two euros for two toppings, an extra four euro for four toppings, etc.

I'm afraid I can't recall how much the soft drinks were, but assuming you've only paid around 35 Euro for two pizzas, I doubt these will take you to your 100 Euros!

Hope thats helped you- We love Cafe Mickey! It's a fab experience!

I am definitely going to do the sharing a pizza route next time.

Last time I got Lasagne and DH got a pasta dish and they were like child size portions. The kids Mickey Pizza is literally all you get with that...no side salad, chips or anything else, just the pizza on a plate.

Thanks for the info! I just wanted to make sure they weren't going to look down on us if we walked in and ordered only 30 euros worth of food... I know DH and I could def split one of those pizzas and the kids (2 & 4) would probably eat a kid's pizza (any ideas on price on these?) - I'm excited! I want to check it out but don't want to pay through the nose for character dining!

We don't have half board - we are AP holders and never stay on site because we love the Marriott villas. I wish we could take advantage of the half board options though!

Thanks again!

I dont think you can order the kids pizzas alone - i think you have to order the whole childrens meal which is about 16E each i think. It will be worth looking at the menu outside to see if its better to order them a large pizza to share or a a kids meal (which includes a drink Im sure and a dessert)

I was going to ring and pre book a meal here but now im just going to do as some of the above posters! Just order pizza and still get the charactor interaction!

Thanks guys!

i shared a pizza with ash on my last trip. she loves pizza and ate nearly as much as i did and the pizza still wasnt finished. the pizzas are very very flat not doughy at all but it was so nice. it was the only meal ash ate all that week. if your kids like pizza i would go down that route. the pizza with the kids meal is too small for two to share but there are other options if you wanted to buy a meal between them.
