Cabs-what About Kids & Carseats?

I have seen people suggest taking cabs home from resort dinners in order to avoid the whole DTD bus transfer thing. Is this option out for people with little ones who are in car seats?

For example- Go to park via bus(therefore don't have carseat), ride bus/monorail to a dinner at a non home resort (closest park closes during dinner), -then what for trip home? Is our only option the DTD transfer thing?

Long winded way of saying.....do cabs have carseats?

Anyone with experience?

You can have the resort call one for you and request a car seat or booster seat.

We've never had a problem with the hotel calling us a cab with a carseat...but just so you know, Florida law (at least when i was there last) is that children over 2 don't need to be in carseats in a cab. So when they sent a sedan style cab, they will bring a car seat but the van-style wasn't so willing to accomidate.

Give yourself an extra 1/2 hour to get a cab with carseats or boosters. Not all of them have that equipment, but when requested in advance they will send one that has a carseat.

In the cabs we have gotten, they have not been installed. And yes, you need to specifically request the type of car seat. We also told them our DD's weight just in case! There would be nothing worse than if they showed up with an infant seat for your toddler and you were late for your ADRs.
