What is a not-to-be-missed experience at this port. Anyone been there???

depending upon the age of your group.. dune buggies, Cabo Wabo and there is another adult beverage establishment near cw which was fun. Also the golf is beautiful....

Cabo Wabo is Sammy Hagar's bar (Van Halen) - But it is suppose to have one of the best tequila's around -

There is also the "Gigglin Marlin" resturant - like papas & beer - Rowdy, party kind of place -

Squid Roe is another party place - lots of drinks -

Mi Casa is one of the best resturaunts in Cabo -

"The Office" is a great, fun, place to eat - The food is EXCELLANT and you are literally eating on tables ON the beach - Whenever we go there, we sit at our table on the beach, take off our shoes, put our feet in the sand as we eat our lobster and steak! Their margarita's are fantastic!

Medano Beach is the beach to go if you want to hang out on the beach - That is where you can rent Wave Runners, Para sail, Glass bottom boat, etc - It is great to take a wave runner to check out Lands End or Lover's Beach (not what you think) - There are also fishing boats to charter as well -

They have recently built a mall there (haven't been) I prefer to go do some local shopping and buy from the local merchants -

KaitlinsMom...Thanks for the tips. It's always best to hear it from someone whose already been there! Now I know to scratch the Gigglin Marlin place from our list as we are not party or rowdy people! The Office sounds more like our type of place!
:wave2:

Thx, these suggestions are terrific! Keep 'em coming!

For anyone who's been to Cabo Wabo, is it only a bar or is there a restaurant too? If there's a restaurant, can kids go in or is there an age limit?
Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing FirstTimeCruiser. DH & I would like to check it out, but not sure if its just a bar or a place where the kids could go earlier in the day(Im thinking lunch time). :D

I have been to Cabo once before, it was a tender in port, We went on a coach trip down the beautifal coast, to a glass factory, a modern hotel resort and an old town, I know others went on Dolphon and whale watching trips.

There appears to be a pirate ship there now

Disney cruise will be there at the wrong time of year to whale watch. That's what I did in Cabo this past March. There is a lot of shopping within walking distance of the port. I "bargained" with a local woman for some Mexican dolls. Other than that, I don't know what people bought though vanilla seemed to be a big deal.

Just something to keep in mind - There are two Cabo's - There is Los Cabos, and Cabo San Lucas - Los Cabos is about 40 minute cab ride from port - That is a more relaxed atmosphere - Not to say that Cabo San Lucas doesn't have any either - But Cabo San Lucas has the party bars - (and shopping and fine dining and Beaches)

Just wanted to let you know for when you start looking for things to do, you know that there is a difference -

any recent info on when Disney intends to release excursion info? Some of this stuff looks like fun . . .the Sunderland (pirate ship) seems kind of out of my budget though!

Good question! Let's get that Mexican excursion list out!
