I am looking into booking a non DCL tour for Cabo. Can anyone who has already gone on the cruise tell me what time you can exit the ship in Cabo. The pick up time for the tour I am looking at is 8 a.m. and I am wondering if that is going to be too early. Thanks!

Tendering began at 7:30 a.m. Your whole party needs to go to the Buena Vista Theater to get a "ticket" to get on a tender. If you had an early DCL excursion, you wouldn't need the ticket. And, after 11:00 a.m., no one needs a ticket. What they are trying to do is to minimize the number of people standing in the hallway, waiting to get on the tenders. It only took about 5 minutes to get over to the pier...so you could make your excursion, depending on where you are supposed to meet them.

Also, if you are in a suite, and have concierge service, you won't need a ticket. Let them know the day before of your plans, and they will tell you what to do to get on a tender.

We did have concierge level on the last cruise (our big vacation splurge--eek!) and we were traveling with friends. We hadn't decided on plans for Cabo since my daughter was ill. When we decided it would be okay to wander into town, we learned that we'd have to wait till 11:15 for "open boarding" but I felt badly that we'd held up our friends' plans. I remembered that someone on this board had said the concierge could arrange for boarding and so I called her for advice. She had us meet her within 5 minutes at the "tender launch" downstairs and just walked us all in. I'm not normally comfortable "cutting" in line but I think the others there assumed we were just part of another excursion and there were still a few spots left on the boat, anyway. The coolest thing was that we could include our friends.

The problem with Cabo is that we didn't have that much time there...so every minute counted. That 4 p.m. deadline came really fast. Get those tickets early!
