In Cabo we just explored the town on our own. Everything is so close to dock and we were there for such a short period of time, we didn't want to take any time away from exploring with an excursion. We did the hard rock cafe thing, pics and souveniers. We had already planned on eating lunch at Cabo Wabo and we had to find the giggling marlin. We had also ran into some of the people from our cruise at lunch time..so we spent a good bit of time with them that afternoon. I can also tell you, when our ship arrived, the restaurants along the marina were open and serving breakfast and it smelled wonderful. If only we had known, because hubby and I were so sick of the ships same thing for breakfast every morning by that day. So..I would say eat breakfast and lunch in Cabo that day..lol. Shopping is fun, tshirts, trinkets and tequila..lol. There is a great tequila shop right near cabo wabo, you go up a few stairs to get to it.
In Mazatlan..we had the best tour. When you get off the ship and go through the little building to get to town there will be cabs waiting. Choose one of the open air cabs, white with canopies on them. We were just going to have them take us to the golden zone to do some shopping, when we got going, he asked if we would like a tour of the town, we said how much, he said $30, we said ok. He took us everywhere, places that the tour buses couldn't go. Up in the hills overlooking the water, the cathedral, past all the monuments, old town, etc. Everytime I wanted pics, he pulled over, he was totally excellent. He dropped us at the far end of golden zone and gave us shopping recommendations, restaurant recommendations. We walked are way back and then we could catch a cab back to dock when we were ready. It was wonderful and we can highly recommend this...but, make sure you take the open cabs. We did tip him very generously as well.
We enjoyed the jewelry shopping in Mazatlan the most. We also picked up great things, tshirts, bags etc. There is also a wonderful glass shop..the best prices ever..just a shop or two down from where the cab driver let us off. I wish I would have had 20 arms that day..the glass was beautiful. If you like margaritas, there is a great open air cafe with roving singers and wonderful lime margaritas.
We didn't stop at PV so can't help you there.
