We will be sailing to beautiful Mexico on the Wonder September 24th. There is a Cabo Beach Break shore excursion through DCL :boat: (picture included) but it doesn't mention jet skis, adult beverages or a hearty lunch. Has anyone booked an excursion that isn't thru Disney? Suggestions? :tink:

I did this excursion in 2015, it does include a free beverage and lunch! There was a jet ski rental place right on site that we did, we had a great time doing this excursion!

Thanks! The description made the lunch sound kind of small. We love Capatain Tony's in Cabo so compare to that lol

We did a similar excursion through Disney on last year's Panama Canal cruise that was a harbor cruise and beach break. The beach break was not at all what I expected. It's basically a restaurant on the water with beach access with many restaurants in a row just like shown in the picture. There were no showers to rinse, and very small, not-the-cleanest restrooms so no option of trying to rinse off there either. (Can you tell I really don't like getting in salt water without being able to rinse in fresh water?!) Lunch was fajitas and included 2 drinks from their subset that was allowed on our package and didn't include their full drink list. It was OK and we made the best of it, but won't be repeating it next time. We'll skip the beach and do a harbor cruise non-disney.

I have the cruise and beach break scheduled for Oct on this years EBPC cruise. I thought the beach break was at a beach club. I may have to rethink that option.

Everyone I talked to was unhappy with it and many of us complained to guest services afterwards. I got a partial refund back. If you know it's just a restaurant on the beach and not anything at all like a resort or what I'd call a beach club and you're OK with that, then it wasn't horrible - just not what most of us expected.

You might want to check out the resort day pass offered at the Melia Me. We loved the property, beach and it includes watersports options. It includes a $30 food & beverage credit so you can use it for drinks and lunch. https://cabosanlucascruiseexcursions.com/excursions/cabo-resort-beach-break-day-pass/

I've looked at that, and it looks interesting! A few questions, please since you've done this. :) Thanks for the info!
  1. What did you use for transportation there and back and how easy was it to find or arrange? I've read either taxi or water taxi, but am not clear on how that works and where you find it.
  2. How were the food and drinks and what were the prices like? I don't do seafood so am not interested in the ceviche or sushi they mention! I've looked for online menus and can't find any.
  3. What watersports option did you do and what did you think about it? Any specific recommendations? We'll have some first-timers so a trip to los arcos somehow is a must so it may be only the glass bottom boat for that.
  4. How hard was it to find loungers in the shade? All the pictures look like almost everything is out in the sun.

Sorry I haven't responded, its been a while since i've been on here.

1) We took a watertaxi right from the port to the beach. Super easy and Cheap. Once we got there we arranged for the return trip with the watersports representative and it was free going back. We had planned to take a taxi if it was rough but it was a calm day.

2) They had lots of other options from taco to burgers etc. Drinks from Beer to cocktails and more.

3) we choice stand up paddle boards and it was fun. The people by us did the trip to the arches as they had young kids so they went on the boat and said it was great. They showed us a couple pics of sea lions that they saw out there.
4) they had umbrellas and many of the beds had shade covers on them so you could choose sun or shade.

Hope that helps!

Is this the excursion you took?: Land's End Coastal Cruise And Beach Break (CL59)

I have it booked for October but may change if it's what you're describing.

Yep, that's it, and I very strongly don't recommend it. Everyone I talked to who did it was unhappy with it. We're either going to find someone to do the Land's End Coastal Cruise on our own, or might consider the Melia Me beach break independently that is recommended above here.

Cabo is so easy to do your own. We got messages on the beach $30 Hey, rented Jet skis 2 for $75 hr and just went to a place on the beach had great food and caronas for cheap. You'll need a credit card to rent the jet skis
