Hi,

I am getting ready to book our 2nd Disney cruise on the Dream for next August - we had an amazing time on our 1st cruise. I was hesitant to rebook onboard because I wasn't sure my son would want to cruise again, but sure enough when we arrived back home he asked to go again. I tried to persuade him to try Anthem of the Seas but he's not interested.

I am currently looking at the following stateroom choices:

Deck 5 (4E)
Deck 7 (5C)

Which would you choose and why?

Thanks:)

I would go with midship, regardless of category if price is close. Just much less movement and easy to get to. That being said, we really love deck 7 because we take the steps alot, so only a few flights up or down at a time. Not sure I helped much, haha..... 1) Midship first 2) if both midship, 7 over 5 ;)

I'd go with deck 7 because we like to use the stairs not elevators also. We love decks 7, 8 and 9 on Dream class ships.

you didn't say how old your son was. this could make a difference in my choice. the kids clubs are on deck 5 just down the hall. plus the movie theater is on this deck. its a bit quieter (imo) because of the fact there are less cabins. we sailed deck 5 forward in October and loved it. we felt very little movement.
what ever you decide have a great cruise. :flower3:

We were on deck 2 for our first cruise which we liked because we walked up the stairs to the theater, shopping and the dining rooms. But I wanted a bigger room with a balcony this time. My son will be in the Vibe again which he really enjoyed, that is one of the reasons why I'm leaning toward deck 5. However I am worried about being above the theater. The difference in price between deck 5 and 7 is nominal.

as i said earlier we were in the forward part of deck 5 so i can talk to you about the theatre noise. i am talking about the walt theatre so if your not then ignore this.
we skipped most of the shows because we had seen them before. on the first night we had dinner and then climbed into bed to watch tv as it had been a really long day. at 8:30 we started to hear loud noises and i thought, well this can't be good. at first i thought it was the kids club and somehow we were getting the noise and vibration. then i realized it was from the walt theatres live performance. it wasn't loud but it was there. the noise was there any night they had a live show, did not hear anything when there was a movie playing. we did not hear people at all. i think it was just the mechanics of the props being moved around. you could also hear this noise if they had an afternoon performance so if you wanted to have a nap when this was going on it might be difficult.
had we gone to the shows this whole thing would have been a non issue and we never would have known about it. even as it was the cabin we had was amazing and i would not have changed it. we also liked that it was so close to everything and the forward elevators were seldom busy.
hope this helps.

Yes, thank you it does help very much! I think I may stick with deck 7 because the cabin on deck 5 is forward also. My son can just take the stairs to the Vibe just like he did on our other cruise.

We like to stay aft in the back of the ship on the Dream. Not much traffic on the elevators. Plus you're directly underneath the buffet. =)

We like decks, 6, 9 and 10 the most. Typically we stay midship to forward but were considering aft. There are some awesome balconies at aft that wrap around, but those staterooms are pretty hard to get I understand. :)

So the answer according to the above posters is 2,5,6,7,8,9 and 10. That really narrowed it down . So, almost any deck which has rooms is preferred.

Good information!
