I just made the ressies for a short week in Dec.! So excited! This is the longest we have ever stayed as a nuclear family, without taking extended family. We were just going to stay at the CR for two nights, but there was no room in the inn, so did the BRP thing and ended up with five nights in a cabin! We've only stayed there once, last October, and were babysitting extended family at the time  ,so I was wondering if any one has some tips or must do advice. I've reserved a gulf cart and know about the campfire movie. Any thing else? Thanks! :goodvibes

Let's see....how 'bout the hayride? I believe if you go on the one close to the time of the fireworks, they stop and not only can you see them, they 'pump in' the soundtrack!!

Don't miss the petting zoo and the horses down at the marina.

Since you are going in Dec., you HAVE to take the time to look around the campsites at night. There are enough Christmas decorations that it rivals the Osborne Lights. :flower:

I was also just looking into the hayrides, they look like fun but are a bit pricey! I believe they are $8.00 for adults and $4.00 per child. The fireworks ones would be nice though.
I don't know how long they are, but you can reserve a private carriage ride for 4 adults and 2 children for $30.00 1/2 hour, that sounds like a better deal to me!

I didn't think a carriage would hold 4 adults and 2 kids. I thought it was 2 adults and up to 3 small kids. I was debating on the private carriage but with the kids now 15, 14 and 11, I didn't think we'd all fit!! Also don't know if they stop for the fireworks. Definitely something to look into!! :flower:

From Disney themselves - a smaller carriage holds up to 2 adults and 1 small child. A larger carriage holds up to 4 adults OR 2 adults and 3 small children.

When I looked it up, this is what it said:

Private carriage rides - Cost $30/half-hour. Call (407) 824-2832 to reserve (reservations suggested, not required). Depart from Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. nightly. There are two carriages available; one accommodates four adults and two children, the other accommodates two adults and two children

We also have children that are 17~14~8~4, so we thought the bigger one would work for us? I guess I will have to call to make sure the sizes of the carriages, seems like different places have it different ways :confused3

You may also want to check on the price, since I was told it is 35 dollars per 1/2 hour. Carriage rides do not go near the beach which would be necessary to see the fireworks, but go on a route through FW. The wagon rides last about 45 minutes and go on an area near the beach where the fireworks are visible.
