Cabin Check-in

My son and I are going to check-in to a FW cabin a few days before my husband and other son arrive. They will be bringing ME to FW around 11 pm. What process should they expect? Will they need to check-in and get their own room (cabin) keys? Will I have to go to the check-in area and pick them up?

Also, will their luggage be delivered to our cabin or to the check-in area? They will have an overnight bag with them so they will have what they need, but I was wondering where the luggage will go. I know I can ask these questions when I check-in, but the CM may not know as much as fellow DISers.

We didn't have your situation, but here's what I think based on our stay in May - I would think when you check in prior to your DH, you could let them know that DH will be checking in late at night on whichever night he gets there. They should be able to note that on your reservation and therefore should know he's allowed to go to your cabin upon arrival. I think they will drive him and your son to your cabin via van along with all the luggage they have with them (carry-ons I guess since they'll be arriving by ME). You'll be at the cabin and will be able to let him in when he arrives. Your DH should be able to leave instructions at the front desk for them to leave their luggage which will be arriving by ME until the morning. They can keep the rest of their bags at the checkin area till then.

That's just my relatively uninformed thoughts. I do know one thing, though - you will have a GREAT time at the Fort! We enjoyed our May trip so much that we're going back over Thanksgiving and we're going back to the cabins over our other prior resort - Poly Concierge. It was that much fun!
