Search function is down right now :( I'm trying to book a cruise for 2004 (possibly). does anyone know what cabin #'s they "downgraded" from 6 to category 7 due to the obstructed view on the verandah? Thanks for all the help, Kim

Yahoo!! Thank you Ann, so if I understand correctly (which doesn't happen very often :rolleyes: ;) ) those cabins have actual verandahs but w/ a barrel etc obstructing the view right? And you are basically charged for a "navigators verandah" Category 7 instead of category 6? Thanks again, Kim

If you look on Dave's or Barb's websites they have photos of the veranda and the view from it.
Daves= www.dcltribute.com

Barbs= www.castawayclub.com

They don't have a barrel though it is just the decorative curve of the ship so metal covers one corner.

Yes - I'm crusing for the first time on the 5/18 WONDER and have room 7120. It has a real verandah but because its the last verandah it is semi ubstructed.

Definetly worth it for the deal. I think 7120 is in the aft and the 7620 is in the forward.

Good luck!

Dave has pictures on his site which I think is www.dcltribute.com but I am not sure.

As usual, you guys are awesome!! and quick, Now to find the calculator and add the pts. Thanks again, Kim

And don't forget you can pay half cash too (thats what we always do :) )

Was wondering about that Ann, if I book one adult w/ pts can I go thru DU or AAA or something for a discounted rate or do I have to go thru MS ? thanks, Kim

But they give a discounted rate, well not exactly. Depending on how far along you book. Right now the cat.6 price for one adult (we pay points for one adult and one child) was $1525.00 plus the 75.00 fee. That is what I paid for our upcoming Dec 13 cruise . Right now the early booking savings brings the cabin based on double occupancy to 1425.00 or somewhere there abouts. If I waited to book until like June or so I still would only be charged the 1525.00 but the rate from a TA would be around 1800.00 (less early booking savings) On our last Dec. cruise I paid 1600+ (can't recall I think like 1629.00 plus the 75.00) and at the time of boarding the rate was around 1900.00
