Cabin Cancel Question

How close to the reservation date can we cancel a reservation without losing money?

I want to reserve a cabin for March, but we area also dealing with a medical problem with our daughter and I don't know what will be happening with her, so I want to make the reservation, but how far before our arrival do we need to cancel in order to get our money refunded if things are going well?

My cabin only reservations states that you must cancel 6 days prior to get the deposit refunded.

I don't know if a package reservations would have different requirements.
 
I think it depends on whether you book a package or a room only reservation.
Package would have to be paid in full 45 days out..and then you can still cancel ..even up to the day before..but the cancellation fee is either $100. or $200. depending on when you cancelled. I thought the room only reservation required the one nights deposit, and you didn't need to pay the rest until you actually checked in. So depending on when you cancelled that you might have a fee or loose your one night..not sure on the policy..you could call Central Reservations and ask for sure. Although, I'm sure there are others here more informed that I that will come along and tell you for sure! :teeth:
 
If you make a room only reservation online, the cancellation date is 45 days out. If you call Disney and make it over the phone the cancellation date is 5 days out.

This would be perfect! I am sure we would know the week before if DD's health is at a point that we can travel.

A credit card deposit must be received at time of booking or the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
Cancellation Policy
