We are booked on a 7-day Western Magic cruise. We have been given cabin #2100. It is right across from one of those shaded areas on the deck plan. It's not on Dave's list of noisy rooms but it's only a cabin away from them. Should I be concerned about noise or vibration? Anyone ever been in this cabin and have an opinion on it? I am thinking about requesting another cabin..

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.. :p

You are not far from us.......we are in 2022..........

That's GREAT, Patty!

What's your opinion on the noise/vibration issue? Ever stayed in this area before?

Thanks..

Denise :D

You're just down the hall from the "grey space" in the deck plan which would be where the stacks exhaust from the engines below up to their visible outlet on Deck 10. The rooms immediately across from this area are on my list of noisy rooms. But the last room in that zone is 2096, two rooms away.

2100 is across from another stateroom (so no worry about mechanical noise). And it does not have a connecting door to an adjoining room, so you probably won't hear your neighbors either.

2100 is just a short walk from the Aft stairs/elevators. I think you'll enjoy it.

We were in a Cat 5 last year on Deck 7, so this is NEW territory for us. We didn't spend much time in our room though. The ONLY
Cat 9 that they had available for 4 passengers that wasn't on DAVE'S List of Noisy Rooms was 2022. We are probably a little more Forward than I want to be, but, That is okay. I keep checking for other rooms coming available.... That are not on Dave's list and that are more midship.

We Can't wait.

You will be fine with this cabin. My family stayed here and we had a blast! I'm so jealous. Have a great cruise!

Thanks so much! I feel a whole lot better about the room.

Dave, you are the best! I haven't been using this board very long but I am quickly learning that you truly are a DCL EXPERT. I don't think a CM could have answered my question like that.

JoAnn.. you were exactly what I was looking for: someone who has actually stayed in #2100. You are my insurance! Thanks for responding...

Patty, don't worry about being forward.. It should be okay. When I originally got my cabin # I asked my TA if we could be more mid ship and he said this was the most mid ship available at the time of booking (I originally was concerned about the motion, not noise. This was before I discovered DISboards). He said we wouldn't notice a difference.

With much gratitude,

Denise
