I was looking at port adventures for our upcoming cruise. All the cabanas are booked...is it often that cancellations come up?

Not often but sometimes you can find one that someone releases before the cruise. I just checked a couple of times each day and got lucky when one became available.

Good luck

We got lucky and was able to get ours like three weeks before our trip. Don't give up!

I have gotten lucky too! Keep checking multiple times a day up until they close port adventure booking...then check with Guest Services once you board.

I would personally give a lot of thought to whether or not you really want to spend the money on a cabana. I recently returned from the fantasy cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and spent only about 4 hours on Castaway . quite frankly, I would have been very disappointed to have spent that kind of cash on a cabana. If you are active people who really see yourself doing a lot of things on Castaway such as biking, snorkeling, swimming, and eating, about the only advantage the Cabana might have is a place that is private to consume your lunch. Otherwise for us, we were about and out for most of the four and a half to 5 hours we spent on the island. if however you are fairly sedentary and wish a lot of seclusion, the Cabana might be a good choice for you particularly if you have a small child or infant that you want to keep out of the Sun. Otherwise covered seating in lounge chairs is abundant if you decide to get off the ship early, set up your camp, and enjoy the island. We headed back to the ship about 2:30 p.m. and enjoyed many of the amenities without the crowds such as the Aqua duck. I would not stress out too much about the Cabana. Good luck. And have a great trip

Our first cruise was a 3 night on the Dream 2 years ago. We did 4 days at Disney World, then 3 on the ship. We booked only about a month in advance, so all cabanas of course were gone. When we got to CC, I walked up to cabana check-in and asked if there had been a cancellation. There had, so we got one on SB. Our 3 kids ( 18, 20, and 22) LOVED it, as did we. That got us hooked, so this past Sept when we sailed on the Fantasy, we took my folks with us and got another one. Loved it. We are sailing the Fantasy again this Sept, and we got one again

To us, it is very much worth it, and who knows--you just might get lucky like we did.

I hope so.

Rare

concierge told me on my two cruises with Cabanas that there was a waitlist of over 500 on each.

Not likely but good luck, we wait listed last August but it never came through
