Cabana rental questions.. please help!

Hi. I just found this site this morning!! There is so much helpful info on here. We are staying at RPR in August. I'd love to rent a cabana for the day, possibly at the HRH. I'm wondering though, do they require a deposit to rent one and what happens if the day you have reserved turns out to be a day where it rains the entire day?? Can you cancel without penalty? Can anyone suggest a cabana number for us? We would like to be close to the pool/slide area. Thank you!

We rented one last AUgust. There is no slide at RPR. #2 is close to the pool (best one if you have kids). The others are also close, but are tucked away right near the hot tubs. I think you do need to leave a cc# to reserve, but I think (not sure) you can cancel up to the day before. I doubt you will get a refund if it rains all day. You can make a reservation and ask questions by calling RPR and asking for the health club/fitness center. They handle all the cabana reservations.

Oops, just noticed that you were staying at the RPR but wanted to rent one at HRH. Can't help you with those details, but I know the reservation policies would be the same.

I just called HRH yesterday to reserve my cabana, and i am also staying at RPR. I didn't give a CC#- just my reservation #. Also, you can cancel up until 9pm the night before. I think that's plenty of time to get a weather forecast for the next day Also, people say that #10 (Stevie Wonder) cabana is supposed to be one of the bigger ones with a great location (near the slide and volleyball?). It was $150.

I dont remember about the slide or the volleyball courts, but its really close to the hot tub! And it has 2 chairs like the ones outside of Jimmy Buffets. COMFY!!

Thank you everyone for your replies. I called this morning and reserved the Stevie Wonder Cabana (#10). I only had to give them my hotel confirmation number and not my cc number. She said that I have until 9 p.m. the night before to cancel or they will charge 50% of the rental fee to our room.

I was thinking of also booking a cabana for a day at RPR but there are only 3 and they look very small?? I think we'll pass on those since we are staying at the resort. I really wanted to cabana at the HRH so that we would have a "home" base for our kids since we aren't staying there.
