My wife and I will be taking an adults only vacation and cruising on the Fantasy 7 nights Western Caribbean. I would like to rent a cabana on CC and was wondering if we should go for one at Serenity Bay (quieter and no kids but cabanas are further away from water) or Family beach (close to water and possibly nice view of ship).

We are sailing conceirge so should have a nice chance of picking certain cabanas...what location should be pick?

If traveling as a couple, I would always opt to be away from families. That means I'd pick Serenity Bay.

I stayed in #25 on SB and loved it. I didn't think it was too far from the water. (Spent a lot of my time in the water actually). It felt nice and private. We had 4 adults.

7 & 8 on the Family Beach, have a great view of the ship. It is in the middle of FB, but we never had trouble with others bothering us.

Personally I loved the one we had on Serenity Bay. It was quiet over there, very uncrowded compared to the family beach, and secluded while still very close to the water. :cloud9:

Any cabana on SB is excellent, its so nice and quiet there.
We have been lucky enough to book a SB cabana several time, never disappointed with any of them.
Its just a little slice of heaven........

Have fun!

Is there a “better” cabana to pick on SB?

My wife and I prefer the the family beach cabanas over the SB cabanas. On the family beach you have your own little slice of the beach and while we have had neighbors with children we have been very lucky that they weren't obnoxious children. We did book a SB cabana for one trip and decided to let it go a month before our cruise. Having people sitting on lounge chairs right in front of the cabana blocking our view of the beach just didn't feel like it was worth the price of the rental. We'll always pick the family cabanas over the adult cabanas on SB.

Serenity - it is named perfectly. One of the most relaxing places I have ever been

We've done both. I think I prefer the Family Beach because it is closer to most of the other activities. The Family Cabana beach is very quiet as it is because there are so few people. Serenity is fine too but it takes longer to go anywhere else, even to and from the ship. If I had to choose again I'd pick the family beach even at the slightly higher cost.

No. The only difference is proximity to bathrooms and the bar, which makes the higher numbers a little more remote. It all depends on what you want. We always grab 22 because it's closest to the bathrooms and bar, since you can't rely on the "host" to answer a call to come pick you up.

I don't think so. We had 23 and it was wonderful. Got it right before we cruised, so we didn't have a choice in terms of booking but I would happily book it and spend a day there again.
