Cab fare from Windsor Hills?

Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to take a cab from Windsor Hills to Magic Kingdom? I have friends debating on the shuttle service vs. taxi to the parks, just wondering if anyone has experience with either since we always have our own vehicle when we are there.

Normally I check on the Mears transportation website for estimated taxi fares, but their estimator is not working for me today :-(

I have in my head a figure of around $40 ish and that with 4 people it is definitely worth looking at getting a taxi to the parks. I was hoping to check the numbers with the fare estimator, but can't. Sorry. I do hope that helps.

Definitely a taxi would be more flexible (pick them up at the home rather than at the clubhouse, travel on their schedule and not the shuttle schedule). Its is also worth looking at the cost of a rental car - some agencies often offer last minute deals. (Alamo email me regularly with last minute offers)

We took a cab from Epcot to Windsor Palms (right next to Windsor Hills) on Wednesday. The fare was $27, and we gave him a $6 tip. That should give you a rough estimate.
