We'll be staying at Pop Century early December and would like to see the Christmas decorations at the various resorts. It sounds like the bus system is less than positive between resorts. What would the approximate cab fare be (for 4) from Pop to say the Grand Floridian or the Fort Wilderness Lodge (or other places that you might recommend that would be fon to take the kids to see). By the way are there any resorts that you would recommend we see this time of year? Thanks for all of your help. We're really looking forward to our trip.

I can't imagine the fare being more than $12-15 bucks anywhere on property.
I haven't taken a cab, but that's my guesstimate. :)

Also, be careful about where you want to go. Keep in mind that Fort
Wildnerness is the campground area, while Wilderness Lodge is a resort
hotel. They are connected by a walking trail and a boat route, but they
are separate resorts. You'll definitely want to see the Lodge decor.

I can do it all by Disney transportation. If I want to tour the Magic Kingdom
resorts from Pop, I'd take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, then walk to
the Contemporary Resort. Then I'd take the resort monorail to the Poly
and Grand Floridian, and probably take the monorail (or the boat) back
to the Magic Kingdom. Then I'd switch to the Wilderness Lodge boat or
bus (if they're still running busses, that is).

If I wanted to do the Epcot resorts, I'd take the bus to Disney-MGM, as
the Epcot bus will take you to the front of Epcot, while the Disney-MGM
bus will take you to the back of the Epcot resorts area. From MGM, you
can take the boat to the Epcot resorts or walk. The walk is at least a mile,
so that might not appeal to everyone. Since the Epcot resorts are linked
around the lagoon, you can essentially walk around to each Epcot resort.
(Or take the boat. LOL.)

In order to get back to Pop Century, you need to make sure you're at a
theme park or Downtown Disney to transfer back. Yes, it does take a long
time to travel the way I've described, so the cab would be good if you want
a quick looksee at a specific resort.

A cab to CSR or POR from Pop I can understand but for GF or WL take the MK bus. Take it to MK then grab a monorail, bus (to WL takes less than 10mins, includes waiting for bus and trip) or boat. You can catch the launch to WL or a different launch to GF and Poly. Don't waste your money by taking a taxi. Remember you still have to wait til the taxi gets there plus tipping the driver.

Thanks for the response. The information is great. We're really looking forward to the trip. Even just checking out the other resorts at Christmas time will be cool.
