Cab Fare from BC to Disney Parks

I've looked at the Mears website, but I'm curious if anyone has an average of what cab fare would be from the resort to each park. Mears doesn't really make it easy to figure out prices.

We'll be a family of six and are in the process of trying to decide whether it would be worth our while to stay here and rent cabs, or go ahead and book a couple of rooms in a moderate on-site.

We'll have our cars, but aren't interested in driving once we get there (we'll have an 18 hour drive getting there). We're TGM'ers and think it would be better to be more in control of our transportation, than relying on BC's shuttle schedule.

Two families will be splitting the cab fare, so I think this will be doable for us.

I think about $12-$15.

Keep in mind Epcot is <5 minute walk. Hollywood Studios is ~20 minute walk or boat ride.

If taking a taxi to MK, consider taking a cab to the contemporary resort and wlak to MK (this will avoid having to take a boat or monorail from the taxi drop off).

HTH.

Can you actually walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios???

If it were me, I would consider driving to the parks for rope drop, and taking the scheduled shuttle, driving, or cabbing back after your mid-day break, depending on your schedule and needs. I know you don't want to drive, but if you are TGMing it, what happens if you have trouble finding a cab in the morning?

Nothing is more under your control than your own car.

Yes, I was referring to Bonnet Creek, lol!

Should I expect any issues calling cabs? I've had them pick me up at Disney resorts a couple of times, and they were always prompt.

It's just so much nicer to get into a cool car, when you've been walking around, than getting into one that's blazing hot inside. And while we'll have a car, really, we'll have cars - as in two of them. It just seems like it would be a major hassle driving to the parks, but it's an option.

I would plan on $10 minimum plus tip each way. With 6 people, you'd need a van, which may cost more. Driving to the parks is so easy and wouldn't be more than a 15-20 min drive at the most from WBC. Why would it be a big hassle???

A few weeks ago we were at BC. We always drove to RD since like you, I didn't want to rely on shuttle.

We cabbed to Epcot 2 nights - we called the number in their book - Maingate I think? Asked to be picked up at 4pm at Tower 5 and they were early both times. We had vans too - they ask you how many so they will send what you need I think.

One night we entered through Boardwalk and it was $10 (cost $8 from BW on the way back). The other night was $15 when we went to the front of Epcot - dropped closer than the buses. Can't remember what it cost home.

Our DHS day and AK day we drove and stayed 3/4 day. MK we drove both times.

I would guess DHS would be about $10, AK maybe $15 and MK I would think closer to $20.
