Cab fare estimate

Hi everyone,

I have a friend who is going to be staying in a hotel really close to the airport (MCO) for one night and she wants to take a cab to the citywalk so she can eat at Margaritaville.

Does anyone know an approximate fare price for that ride?

That is for a private taxi. The hotel itself may have a shuttle to Universal for no or low cost, I would have her check on that.

WOW! $33? It's almost cheaper to rent a car for a day.

Actually it would cost less to rent a car, that fare is one way. Nobody ever said taxis were cheap.

That's awesome guys! Thanks! I think I might tell her to rent a car for the day... I know she loves margaritaville but I'm not sure she loves it $66 round trip...

Tell her she also has to take parking into account if she rents a car, $12 during the day and $3 after 6pm. If she wants to go for lunch I would have her see if she can get a shopper's pass or talk to the people at the taxi/bus/dropoff area to see if she can walk in, even call Margaritaville and see if they will get her some kind of pass so she doesn't have to pay to park. I did that, got free parking plus into Universal for an hour, but it was many years ago and I have no idea what their policy is now. Ask around, it may be worth your time.

Thanks again for your help! I passed the info on to her, and she is going to check into all options, shuttle, renting a car etc.

She said she's hoping for the best but preparing for $33ish dollars each way because she is a total Parrothead and is really excited to see this Margaritaville.
