CAA Question

We just booked our room-only reservation at Pop Century. We saved $15 USD/night X 10 nights = $150 (regular season) with the CAA discount. We will also get the FREE maps before we go too. BUT, most importantly..... When i discovered my tire was flat wednesday morning and there was a fresh blanket of snow on the ground, I called CAA and they came and changed my tire in 15 minutes!!!! Well worth $80/year!

Do you have to book through CAA or can you do it yourself?

It is usually cheaper to call wdw yourself and ask for the AAA discount.

AT caa when we check availability and rates it is directly with Disney, so in a situation with al things equal it is not possible for the rate to be different. If we check online it is in there reservation system, if we call it is to Disney direct.

There may be other reasons why in your particular situation there was a difference but it is not possible that one would be less than the other.

I am a CAA member and have been for many years. One more advantage no one has mentioned is movie passes. We can purchase movie passes for Galaxy Cinemas and it is quite a bit cheaper than purchasing at the theatre. I also have bought great luggage at CAA and had our passport pictures taken there. For me it's well worth the $80. I have a bad habit of locking my keys in the car and they are always very good about sending someone right out!

Do you have to book through CAA or can you do it yourself?

I called up WDW myself. I just asked for the AAA rate. The first guy I talked to had no idea what CAA was, or a postal code for that mattter. I hung up and tried again. I think you have to show your card when you are checking in because they didn't ask me for the number over the phone. I liked booking by myself because I could change it later if i wanted to.
