I am wondering who has used CAA to book a package through, if so, can you recommend someone that knows their stuff?

From what I understand if I want the CAA discount on a package I have to book through them. I am not even sure if there is a real discount for this or if it is the same price I get elsewhere, but want to check it out.

There is an actual discount on the CAA packages off the room portion. You can not book this package anywhere else. There are also some value added "extras" as well.

Some times disney will release a package special that is the equivalent price of the CAA package, but won't have some of the above mentioned "extras".

Careful, you can't combine the CAA discounted rate with any other discount.

When Disney releases a discount (be it Free Dining, Stay for 7 - Pay for 5, Winter Offers etc.) they discount FAR outweighs the CAA one.

As an example, the current 'Fairytale Offer' (with a one day base ticket) works out cheaper at a Value Resort than the AP rate!!!

Yes, I realize this, I just wanted to get a CAA package quote before I decide to go ahead with booking, whether it be by myself or with an agent, hence me asking if anyone knew a decent CAA agent to get the quote from.

Yes, I realize this

Sorry Laura, I didn't doubt that you knew this already, my reply of getting a better discount through Disney was directed to this comment:

As for a CAA agent that knows Disney, isn't there one right here on the Canadian DIS boards? I always thought that we had one. Sorry, I don't know their username. :confused3

I have someone for you. She works out of the Markham branch. Her name is Sachi and her # is 905-305-7644. I just booked my Nov/Dec trip with her back in the summer. She seemed to know her stuff. When I asked her to look up the new general codes that came out, she told me that she had already and there was nothing. That is true because I called Disney myself also, and most of the deluxe resorts are sold out. Because we booked through CAA, we also get the princess storytelling included. Apparantly AAA/CAA has a private room inside the MK and this is just for members who booked thru AAA/CAA. I did cost everything separately and CAA had a much better rate.

Laura001, we booked one trip to WDW last january and save 350$ for a week.

We just booked our first Disney cruise and it was the same thing!

My TA is a Disney specialist, and if a real good special would come up, he would arrange it for me to have to one who's the best for my money :thumbsup2

WHAT IS THIS? I have not seem or heard of this before. Can someone point me in the right direction for info or fill us in? We will be there Oct 26th-Nov. 2.

Thanks!

OnMedic, here's the link to the AAA/CAA page on Disney benefits. Click on Walt Disney World Benefits, and the first paragraph describes this storytelling experience.

But you have to book your package through CAA to get it. It's not for any CAA member like the Room Only booking discount.

We booked through CAA but didn't buy a package--room only and passes--and we weren't eligible for the storytelling, I asked.

On one of the American boards I remember someone saying you could get the AAA discount when calling Disney direct, though there may be additional perks to booking through CAA directly--didn't really see any booking a la carte the way we did, and we won't bother next time. ALso, if you book through CAA you can't talk to Disney directly to change your res--extend it, change resort, whatever. If you're a package-booking sort of traveller, you probably don't mind getting the TA to do all the follow up. Me, I'm a control freak and need to be able to do it myself!
