I have been reading on another board about the AAA discounts. Does any one know if the discounts are the same for CAA? I saw the room discount was 20% in value season. Has any one booked this? If I can get 20% off than I will take my DD for a last minute trip the end of January.

Thanks all!

From the Mousesavers website:

-During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

-During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

-During Peak Season and Summer Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.

-The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas) at the Value and Moderate resorts.

So, the discount you get depends on the season and what type of hotel you choose. We stayed at the POP Century (value resort) during value season and got a 15% discount on our room. You don't have to book through CAA, just mention the discount when you're booking your room. You'll probably have to show them your card when you check-in. Have a great trip! I'm so jealous!

Book ASAP as rooms available with this discount can be limited!(we have been trying to get a CAA discounted room for march at CSR and have been told they have no discounted rooms left)

On our last trip we booked a room at the CSR with a CAA discount - I believe it was 15% off regular season. As the OP has said, the discounts are not always available though.

I got the CAA discount last March and this March. It's 15% off mods. S

Is that 20% cheaper off there price or what disney offers? Get a quote from both disney and CAA.

Remember that when you book room only you will not be able to take advantage of any ticket/dining offers that Disney may offer.

From the Disney rack rate.

And make sure you tell the CM that you are looking for the CAA/AAA discount. We did 2 nights at POR last year during value season (20%off!) but the CM doing the booking for us had to leave the phone for a minute to find her code. You will be asked for your membership# and will be told to have the card with you when you check-in.

Just as earlier poster said, book a room only reservation and ask for the AAA rate (don't ask for a CAA rate, they haven't always got a clue as to what you are asking for). They will ask for your card # and you have to have it with you when you check in. The savings we got at POR more than paid for the membership for the year.

Thanks everyone!!!!!

I am going to call WDW right now. I just looked at the air fares with Southwest and two tickets are $271 US. This could be the cheapest Disney trip in history. Cross your fingers that I can make this work out.

We booked thru our awesome CAA TA in London, Ontario! We got for our family of 4 (kids ages 10 and 7 @ time of travel): 11nights Nov 26-Dec7/07 at Coronado Springs resort with Waterview and 7 day MYW with hoppers for the four of us = $2611 usdollars. I think this is pretty good deal! Plus you get some nice bonus' ie the parking pass....pretty much front of the line at all the parks..looking forward to the dining discount voucher and the discounts for World of Disney.

Also, Swan/Dolphin offers 50% (yes 50%) off the rack rate for CAA/AAA members. So you can stay at a deluxe resort for the same price as a mod. We stayed at POFQ last year for $200/night and we are paying $199/night at Dolphin this year.

I called to book a room but all the AAA/CAA discounted rooms were booked. I didn't know about the Swan/Dolphin, I'll try there next. The rate I was offered for the POP was $82 per night. I guess that is really not all that bad, but it adds a few extra dollars.

Any suggestions for getting a discounted room rate???? I have to make a firm decision tonight because I'm getting my passes from airmiles and I'm almost out of time to receive them If I want to depart on January 31.

Also, I have forgotten, is there WDW transportation to the Swan/Dolphin and do you get the EMH????

OK---- call again and still no AAA rate. Can't get one until May. Should I keep calling? What about calling the local CAA travel office---can I get the rate from them? I tried the Swan/Dolphin but the rate was $199-$249 per night. That seemed really high to me for January.

Help :confused3

Maybe I should wait and go in August. If I wait I can go for 8-10 days and both my DD's can come. Anyone recall what the SW airfares might be in August?

I called about 6 times in total and everytime I was told something different about availabilty. Call number 6 I finally scored. The agent made a mistake and like magic I got what I asked for (partially). I wanted the POP but she said it was not available and booked me ASMo perferred for $75 per night. The catch is that I only get that rate for the first 5 nights and then I have to pay the full rate for my last night. Over all I still save a few dollars and I'm getting a preferred room which I more than likely would not have paid the extra money for.

WDW here we come!!!!!!

I'd love to hear any comments on ASMo.
