:confused3 We had to change dates due to vacation conflict, and we wanted to rebook for Jan 13-20. TA advised that no values are left.. :scared1:
Then ask to check into beginning of FEb and the same thing. Well i get on line and see yes rooms are available so i call Disney and they say rooms are availalbe??? :confused3 After all that i called TA while she was on the phone with Disney and i guess the problem was no CAA/AAA rate rooms available so the price went up by $300. Luckily our fellow Dis'ers posted Feb codes and i told her the code. She had them apply the code and worked out to the same price but the rooms are at Movies instead. Wow, what a scare. I guess after this lesson, i really can do this on my own and won't need TA, just you fellow Dis'ers

Glad to report all is done and rebooked. However, what is going on the first week of Feb that is sooo busy>?

I'm sure AAA travel agents aren't motivated to look for non-AAA packages for you?

Another agency like the one connected to this board, or other Disney specialty agencies, would have looked deeper for you.

The Disney system agents use to book with will kick back non AAA pricing for packages, but not always room only.

There may be regular priced rooms available via the Disney site because there are a certain number of discounted rooms or packages available. This does not apply to just AAA discounts, but Annual Pass, Florida Resident etc. Once all the discounted rates are gone, all you see is regular price until those are gone as well.

I just checked the dates you are looking for, and there are no value rooms (on a room only reservation) at a AAA price available. Package reservations at Value resorts are not coming up available with or without a discount. The first thing to come available is a Port Orleans Riverside package on a AAA discount.

Availability changes during the day as well...it could have been the time she called.

The only way for a AAA agent to get a room only quote that is not discounted is to call Disney directly. Your agent should have done this for you. If she didn't, there are plenty of other CAA agents who would.

I hope your trip works out for you and you have a great time! :)
