CA Resident Discount Tickets-Can I Use Them?

My son is a CA resident. Can he purchase DL/DCA tickets for me to use when I attend DL for my solo trip? Would I have to show a CA license in order to use the tickets?

If it is a Southern California pass, yes you have to show an id that has certain zip codes on it. If you don't live within those zip codes, you can not use it. Only southern californians get a special price. The rest of us pay the same as everyone else. You can save a little by get it at Costco, AAA, a couple of internet sites or a credit union. Have a nice trip.

It's very likely they will check. If you were going with DS then he could do it for you and show his ID if needed but if they ask for yours and you can't show one you will be sent to the ticket booths to pay the difference between the So Cal and gate prices.

Is the cost of a 1-day ticket discounted because you live in So Cal? If so, I need to let my boyfriend know...I have a Premium AP and don't worry about the cost of admission, but if he joins me for a trip, I want to get him the best possible discount! We live in So Cal, btw.

I don't believe so, I think it's just hoppers or discounted SoCal annual passes.

Ok, thanks. Are there preferred discount ticket sellers that are legit? I know Undercover Tourist sells WDW tickets and they are really good.

They do have specials on tickets that are good only for So Cal residents. I don't know if they are running any now but keep your eyes open and things pop up. Earlier in the year they did a special ticket that was buy 1 day, get 2, so you paid for a single day/single park tickets and got an extra day.

Disneyland doesn't discount their tickets like WDW does through Undercover Tourist.

The best prices you will find for non-residents are the printable on-line passes directly through the disneyland website, or sometimes you can save a few bucks by purchasing at arestravel.com
If you purchase through AAA (some offices sell hoppers separate from packages, but not all), the AAA hoppers are the same price as disneyland.com PLUS include free parking at DLR.

Depends on the individual office, but in most cases I would say yes. You can try calling your local AAA travel office and see what they say.

Check to see if your employer (or anyone you know's employer) offers discounts through ticketsatwork.com, I was looking at their site through my employee discount website and the hoppers are discounted an average of around $30 each.

University student unions/ticket offices at UCLA, USC and UC-Irvine sell 1-day park hoppers for $74. You don't need to be a student at the respective university, but you can only purchase them by actually going to the physical ticket office.
