CA GCH entrance on check-in day

We're local and driving down on 1/29 to check in to PPH. CA opens at 11am, so wondering if we can enter through the GCH entrance 30m early on that Sunday. I know our room won't be ready, but I was thinking we could get checked in and dropped off bags. I'm just wondering if we can take advantage of the GCH entrance even if we don't technically have a room yet. Anyone know?

Yes, you just need your room keys and tickets to use that entrance.

However....It's 11am on that day due to a race that goes through DCA. There may not be early entry on that day.
