Bzz Chicken Sausage?

For those of you who had trouble finding them and asked a grocer to carry them, submit the info as a bzzreport. For some reason, the al fresco campaign only has "create your own buzz" reports, but other campaigns have listed "Ask a store to begin carrying this product" as a bzz action. It's probably good for about 20-30 points if you report it.

:) I got 30 pts for it. I don't have a lot of hope that my local markets will carry it. We don't have any national "chains" here.

Found the maple apple at Meijer, that was the only variety they had and the pack with about 4.

Does anyone know if they are awarding points and what they can be redeemed for? I haven't reported anything but I didn't see anything on the site.

I did just get into the TV Guide campaign!:thumbsup2

Ohhh...that sounds good. I got the maple apple that I'm not thrilled with.:sad2:

Which brings up this question. How do you bzz a product you are not happy with?

So far I have been able to bzz my products very easy because I have been happy with the products so far.

I finally got my sausages today. I really wanted the jalapeno ones, but they didn't have them. I ended up with the buffalo chicken and roasted garlic. Will let you know tomorrow what I think.

I have checked at Albertson's and Smiths in my area and they are not there. There are only 3 other grocery stores around here to check.... :guilty:

ETA:
Anybody that is still having difficulty finding Al Fresco sausages? Here is a link to their website and where to buy.
http://www.alfrescoallnatural.com/products/wheretobuy.htm

Has anyone tried them yet? Are they any good? What flavor did you get?
The site says they are not sold within 20 miles of my area! :confused3

I finally found them at Publix where they sell the sandwhich meats. I'm going to try them this weekend.

I just tried the roasted garlic ones. Unnnhh. They were OK. They smelled really good on the grill. You could really smell the garlic. But, the taste was very mild. Which I guess is good if you don't like garlic. But, I love it, so I wanted more.

Even though I probably wouldn't buy this brand again, I probably know someone that would enjoy it. You could bzz about how the sausage is made with chicken rather than pork. So, it would be lower in fat. Also, it is made with no preservatives and is all natural.

Thank you. I am still trying to locate them.

Wow! None to be found within 50 miles of Pittsburgh!!!

Hi Beth - I found them in Pittsburgh at Giant Eagle (I shop at the Waterfront in Homestead) and at Costco (although you can't use the coupons there). I bet Monroeville would have them. They weren't with the other packaged sausage though, they were with the natural/kosher meats at the end of the meat cases.

I also found them at my local Giant Eagle.
I picked up a pack the other day....but I'm afraid to try them. Somehow the words Chicken Sausage just don't seem to flow to me :confused3 I'm going to put on a brave face tonight & try them. What does everyone else think??

Market Basket in NE carries them wiht their sausages. I got the Grlic ones and they were okay but the kids didnt like them. I also got the maple apple ones for breakfast and they went really fast. One package was not enough for all of us. I'll be buying them more.

Thanks guys! I was just coming over to tell you that I was at the Chicken Sausage website again and I had seen that they were available at Giant Eagle. So I will look there.

DwarfMaster, I will eat turkey sausage, so can chicken sausage be that different? I will give it a try.

I just made my al fresco sausages yesterday. I made shish-ka-bobs and grilled them. I had one pack of Italian and one pack of Garlic. I much prefered the Italian. My dh, dd and dd's boyfriend all really liked them but ds didn't care for any of them. I'm off to the store again today so I'll see if I can pick up a couple more varieties. Happy Bzzing!
