1. It's just for the summer. Limited engagement. You'll get Spectro back. If you read the article, you'd know that.
2. I will always prefer the MSEP and Dreamlights. They're classics, and soooo much better than Spectro in my book. (yes Dreamlights is from 2001... but it's so closely related to MSEP I'm including it here)

Isn't it just for this summer's nightastic something?
I was reading about it on the TPAS board.
That was the first parade I'd seen at WDW so it'll bring back some memories even though I was hardly old enough to remember it. We have videos of it.
My mom said it's basically the same as Spectro and from the videos I think it'll be good.
I'm kind of excited. I love Spectros music though.

I watched the MSEP last year in DCA, it was great for bringing back old memories.

I saw it when I was little when it still ran where it was supposed to: Disneyland's Main Street. It was the last year it ran on Main Street before being sent off to WDW.

No.
It ended promptly in late-August, even with the FAIL dragon not appearing. (Though Fantasmic! was shown nightly until the dragon appeared and for a while after)

And now the floats are being shipped over, so no MSEP at DLR this summer.

Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear Spectro will be coming back. But how cool!! I was lucky enough to see Main Street Electrical Parade a few times before, and I'm glad to see it return for a while. Although, I just love Spectro Magic with a passion

Agreed. Magical! was dreadful in so many ways. I caught the whole show while being directed by Guest Control to keep walking Finale while I was walking in front of the castle.

i read the allears.net article and all it said was it was being repalced by MSEP.

Or you could read the official press release from the Disney Parks Blog that says "limited engagement"

If you believe Jim Hill, he says the parade might stay in WDW for a year or two, depending on how the World of Colour does. Then, his information can be extremely unreliable at times...

I'm more upset about Wishes. Sure that's also only gone for the Summer, but I love the show. I don't like the parades much. I'd rather hit the rides then wait for hours to get a good view of a 10-15 min parade...

I'm more inclined to believe they might have a new Fireworks show and parade for the 40th next year, but we'll find out around August probably. (which coincidentally, will probably be just around where Nightastic! will end)
