Bye-bye Peacock

[Neapolitan Ice Cream]

A local garden had, up until recently, a peacock. They've had to get rid of it though, as it was proving a nightmare. It would chase small children, block cars quite on purpose and finally got into the gourmet kitchen and wrecked up the place.

So long, calamity peacock.

Peacocks truly peeved my big bad double yellow headed Amazon parrot. I decorated the Christmas tree with several realistic looking peacocks one year but had to remove them as he spent his time yelling at them to get out of his home

They're supposed to be here, but we have one right next door, and one across the street one house down. They keep each other going all day long. Annoying as all get out.

My heart dropped; I thought this was about the streaming service which I only purchase for IndyCar coverage. Whew...crisis averted!

Yup -one of the neighbors has chickens and did have a rooster - but the folks in this area are mostly town employees - so the rule was very quickly enforced. Now they just have chickens.

Speaking of quite loud...

When new people moved into our building I was questioned pointedly about the apparently neglected and abused toddler they never saw but certainly heard. Eventually, other long term residents would explain he was a parrot as soon as the newbies moved in saving all from the tall tales the man used to spin….

My sister lives in a community absolutely overrun with peacocks. You can’t drive anywhere without seeing at least a half dozen of them. I haven’t heard a lot of noise from them though. Perhaps there are so many they don’t feel the need to call out to each other . . .

I grew up in area with peacocks, they are a big nuisance. Very loud and also heavey so they will bust up your roof.
