We booked a last minute trip yesterday. We are going to be at BWV, in a studio next week! I stayed at BWV years ago, but it was a commando style trip so we really didn't enjoy the resort. This trip will hopefully be different, we want to enjoy the resort. Any information on what not to miss? Or your favorite place to hang out? How long is the walk to Epcot? or BCV?
We haven't told DD7 yet, not sure how we will or when?

The walk to Epcot isn't bad, though the walk to the Studios is a bit longer (depending on where your room is). Worse case though, you can always use the boat systems.

I would encourage you make sure you hit up the Bakery on a nightly basis.. :goodvibes DW loves the carrot cake.

OOOHHH, carrot cake sounds delicious. Any other information about BWV?

We just got back from 8 days at BWV. The walk to Epcot is easy, HS a little longer. Enjoy the boat rides to either, if you want. Don't forget to visit the community hall for fun things for your DD to do. My kids are too old, but when they were younger, they enjoyed the activities offered. Love the bakery, also the cheese fries from the stands on the boardwalk. Go visit Beaches and Cream at BC/YC for some yummy ice cream. We spent a few afternoons at the pool, wasn't too crowded, but if it is, don't forget the 'quiet' pool- it's never crowded. Enjoy the entertainment at night on the boardwalk. My 14 yr old DS wanted to leave the parks earlier at night, just to hang out and watch all that was going on. Have fun!

They have performers that do things on the Boardwalk in the evenings! Those are a lot of fun, and sometimes you will be "volunteered" to "assist."
:thumbsup2

Oh and the funnel cakes are to DIE for. Light and fluffy, not greasy.

For me, nothing beats the carnival atmosphere in the evenings. If I could only do one thing at WDW, I would see Illuminations and then walk on the boardwalk afterwards. I've actually had that choice when I've added a night to business trips to Orlando and that's what I did!

Go to EPCOT and watch Illuminations. After it's over, wait for everyone to head to the exits. Then take a slow stroll back to BWV. You will love seeing EPCOT empty and the evening walk on the Boardwalk is AWESOME! :thumbsup2

When i was there in October they showed movies on the beach infront of stormalong bay every night. We loved laying in the beach chairs and watching 101 Dalmations and Pirates..

If we are staying at BWV can we watch the movie at BCV? Does BWV offer a movie in the evening? Has anyone been lately? Any information on activities offered? I heard they have a pool party, anyone know of a time? TIA. Your comments have been so helpful!

Have DD look for the hidden Mickey on the carousel horse. There are a couple of hidden Mickeys in the rest of the lobby as well. The Bellvue room is nice to relax in too. The rocking chairs on the porch off the lobby are nice as well as the ones on ground level there. The hot tub by the quiet pool is great.

Jelly Rolls is awesome we've heard. Have never gone, but everyone has recommended. We love Boardwalk and enjoy the early morning walk to either Epcot or DHS. Very peaceful.

BWV offers some of the nicest variety of dining options close. Breakfast rolls from bakery are good, very good.

Bicycle rentals are nice.

Don't forget some of the food options over at the Swan and Dolphin as well.
