BWV waitlist early Dec

I'm staying in a 2 BR Dec 6-10. I booked 2 days after the 11 month mark, and got preferred view, BW view was sold out. Was put on waiting list and nothing yet. Have never been to WDW near the holidays, so really looking forward to this trip. Anyone think that there is ANY hope of a BW view opening up? If not, is there any sense to requesting a specific view at this point, or is it too far out?

We were able to get 4 nights in a garden/pool studio at 7 months for early December - waitlisted for standard view, but not particularly optimistic on that.

I was once waitlisted for a BW view 1 bedroom the first week of December. I called at 11 months minus 1 day and the waitlist never cleared, so I wouldn't count on it happening. For a pool/garden you might like a view of quiet pool, main pool or canal. You might also request close to elevator. You can make the request now.
