Our first DVC stay was last month at VWL and we absolutely loved it!!! So now it is time to start planning next Nov:cool1: We booked SSR already for Nov 2010 but our goal is to try all of the resorts. We are considering making BCV and BWV our top pick for next year. Of course availability may choose for me but just to dream which would you chose and why? Is BWV noisy and if so is that just the boardwalk view. My husband and I would be traveling with my parents and at the time of travel my son will be 6 and my daughter will be 3 1/2. Thanks in advance for any info!:goodvibes

BWV doesn't have any dedicated 2 bedrooms, so if you stay there in a 2 bedroom, it will be a lock off. BCV has very few dedicated with 2 queen beds, but that may not be important to you.

We like them both, and own at both, but I don't "waste" my BCV points for a November stay, since I like the BWV just as much, maybe even more when it's not swimming weather.

DH noticed our BW view stay as being "noisy" but not to the degree that he was bothered by it, he just noticed it. The view is wonderful, but given the choice, I prefer to save points with a standard view.

They both are so convenient for the Epcot and DHS parks. I don't think you'll be disappointed with either.

Keep in mind that BCV has the best pool on property. If you stay at BCV, you can pool hot to BWV but not vice versa. I love BWV and the keister coaster too. Both resorts are great.

I have stayed at both BCV & BWV. My kids were around your kids ages when we stayed there. Even though many say BCV has the best pool, (it IS pretty awesome!), my kids loved the BWV pool just as much (and they didn't even use the slide!). We loved the proximity of both resorts to Epcot & DHS. We didn't have a boardwalk view so I can't comment on the noise, we had a view of the canal and pool area and it was very nice and peaceful!
We also loved the community hall at BWV, lots of fun activiites for the kiddos to do there!
My only complaint about BWV was one day we spent at the pool and when we tried to get lunch it was impossible! We were there in Feb. 2008 (it may have changed since then), it was impossible to find quick, kid friendly lunch for the kids. It wasn't a deal breaker, we would definitely stay @ BWV again, we will just plan ahead next time!

I don't think you can go wrong with either resort!:goodvibes

I've never found the Boardwalk view room that noisy. Well, only once when we stayed in room 5001, I believe that was the #. There was an issue with a couple coming out of Jelly Rolls....other than that no issues here.

As far as the pools go, BCV pool is awesome but you will need to be on your toes when the kids are swimming.

Thanks for the responses! We were there this year in mid Nov and we did do some swimming in the afternoon. Nov 2010 will be at Thanksgiving so I was wondering if we would get as much swimming time. What are my chances of it being warm enough to swim? I hear some times Dec is warm enough for swimming? Both sound great to me. I would not be disappointed to get either one. :goodvibes

We had a lock off at VWL, not my first choice but it was fine and I would be ok with it.:flower3:

We've stayed at both. The kids were really too young to enjoy SAB at BCV, so to us, it wasn't worth the points. SAB was so crowded too.

I prefer BWV and standard views to save the points. In terms of noise, I've had standard and BW views, and it hasn't really been an issue. Nothing compared to the noise at BLT during my recent stay in a SV.
