Here is our dilemma:
We are planning to go to DW from Nov 2 to Nov 10. We have stayed at the BWV before but want to stay at the BCV because of the pool and a different atmosphere. Our only problem is the location of the BCV being too far away from the main lobby and the pool. If you have any advice on BCV please post!! Thank You

Its really not that far a walk from BCV to the lobby or the pool. I wouldn't make that a deciding factor.

If that is too far a walk, then what are you going to do at the parks???

Good point! Try getting room 5001 at BWV and then have to go back to the lobby. My pedometer registered 742 miles.......just kidding. Regardless where you stay you will have fun and the walking is part of Disney's concern for our health.;)

BCV's are all in one building, the entrance to which is about (I'm so bad at measurements) 200 feet from the Beach Club Marketplace - which is adjacent to the Main lobby. There is a pool right outside of the BCV, and SAB is maybe a 3-4 minute walk from the Villas. The bus stop is again about 3 minutes from the villas, in a different direction. It doesn't seem to us to be an overly expansive layout. On our last trip, however, we had a two bedroom at the very, very, very end of the hall (near the parking lot) and that final stretch at the end of a Disney day was a killer.

What is your home resort? 11/2-10 is during the F&WF and runs into Jersey Week, choosing one over the other may not be an option.

We live in Northern NJ. We were only focused on the walk because of coming back at night from the parks and being tired. Also, is there any view from the BCV rooms of Epcot or the Lake? Thanks

This may make the decisions a bit easier then...Because BWV and BCV as so close to Epcot and MGM, there's boat service to these parks from both resorts (No bus service). The BCV boat dock is a good 5 minute walk from the Villa's. The BWV's appear to be closer to the Boardwalk dock - but
I've never stayed there so this is an assumption.

If you stay at BCV, its faster and certainly no further to just walk directly to Epcot than to walk over to the dock and catch the boat.

You're right about walking into Epcot. Just want to remind our Abercrombie friend that you'll walk into World Showcase "the countries", which will lead you into EPCOT. I believe the boat has two drop offs in the EPCOT...One in World Showcase and I don't know where the other is....:confused3

No, that isn't true. The boats that run between MGM & EPCOT (and also stop at Swan/Dolphin, BCV & BWV on the way) only stop at the International Gateway. They do not go into EPCOT itself.

You may be thinking of the boats that run on the World Showcase Lagoon. There are two "loops". One runs from the dock between Germany & Italy to the dock on the east side of Showcase Plaza. The other runs from the dock between Morrocco and France to the dock on the west side of Showcase Plaza.

I think many of the BWV rooms are further from the lobby than most of the BCV rooms. BCV is pretty compact.

Actually, the World Showcase IS in Epcot. It's one portion of Epcot. The other portion is called Future World.

The boats that pick up at the resorts drop off near the International Gateway, outside the park.

And if you are staying at the BC or BCV, you have to walk over to the YC boat dock to pick up the boat. So, it's closer just to walk. And instead of walking UP on the path (where it crosses over to the BW area) just follow the path down along the side of the water. It's easier if you have a stroller or little kids. They both come out in the same place.
