BWV, Villas vs Inn,...

Aren't the villas on one side and the inn on another side of the lobby?

If so, which is which?

From the Valet/Parking area, when you enter the lobby, the Inn side is to the right and the villas side is to the left.

An easy way to distinguish the Boardwalk Inn from the Boardwalk Villas is by the architectural style and the color of the building. The architecture and the color of the Boardwalk Inn is consistent: it is built to look like one building and it is all the same pale yellow/cream color. The Boardwalk Villas are built to look like a series of small seaside hotels, so the style changes from section to section and each section is painted in different colors: yellow, red, light turquoise. Here are two photos taken from the boardwalk side of the buildings. When viewed from the boardwalk side the Inn is on the left and the Villas are on the right. The first photo shows part of the Boardwalk Inn, the second shows part of the Boardwalk Villas:

Very interesting, Lisa! I remember being told when we first joined DVC that the Inn was beige and the villas were red, but your info is much more detailed, and much more fascinating reading it and seeing the pictures. Thanks! Disney's attention to detail is amazing.

The first 2 weeks in September the crowds are just like the picture. It is hot and humid, but with little to no crowds, well worth going at that time. Also, you won't have any love bugs during the first 2 weeks of Sept. either. We love going at that time!

Those look like early morning photos. Notice there are no games open, no extra booths open. Plus the shadows are pretty long in the one photo and everyone is headed to Epcot. Big River Grille has all the umbrellas closed.

We like the 1st week in DEC. The parks are DEAD, the weather is cool and the Christmas decorations are all up. Very nice time to go.

That is our all time favorite time to go, but we haven't gone that week in years. We used to take the kids out of school for the week, until oldest DD went into high school and it just got too complicated. How I miss going that week!
