BWV views

Can somebody help me with what the BWV views are? I've asked this on another section of the board and gotten really confusing answers.

I'm assuming Standard is probably parking lot view. Pool/Garden View is also likely self-explanatory, as is Boardwalk View. I guess my biggest question is what can you see BEYOND the obvious from either option. Could we see Illuminations from one view or DHS from another? We didn't get to stay for Illuminations with our little guys this past September and expect the same for next September. It would be nice to be able to see at least part of it from the room. I'd even settle for being able to see ToT since it's my favorite thing ever! Any advice? I obviously need to get busy renting points for Sept 09 so I appreciate your help!!

Standard views (20% of rooms): overlook road leading up to front entrance and parking lot, or tennis court area; the tennis court view rooms also look towards MGM; you can see upper level Illimunations fireworks from standard view rooms (upper floors, 4 and 5 are best) from those overlooking the road leading up to the front entrance.

Pool/Garden (65% of rooms): overlook Luna Park pool area, quiet pool area, lagoon leading to MGM and a small number are over the Village Green (center grassy square area) on the boardwalk side of the building. Only those pool/garden views that over the Village Green face toward Epcot and those particular rooms are not that good for seeing anything from Iluminations. All others face toward Swan/Dolphin (or part of Yacht Club) mainly but a number can also see toward MGM.

Boardwalk view (15% of rooms): can see upper level fireworks at Epcot, can also see way off in the distance some high fireworks from MK.

Standard and boardwalk views tend to get booked up early during the owners' 11 month reservation window; thus if you want either one of those for next Sep it would be very wise to get it NOW, meaning immediately.

As far as Illuminations you can possibly see uppermost fireworks depending upon where your room is located; much of Illumniations fireworks is at lower level over World Showcase lake so there really will be a limit to how much you can see even with the optimum room location/view.

I do believe perhaps the Upper floors are best that are overlooking entrance lawn area closer to parking areas where you can look across towards the Inn. I can only speak to our own experience and that is in July we had standard view 1 bedroom villa and also studio on the third floor overlooking the lawn/main driveway area (we were at end of standard view area that is closest to bridge that crosses canal between parking lots & lawn and to the walking path that follows along the lawn that you will see in lower right area above the canal/parking area in the photo in the above link)

Yes we could see high Illuminations fireworks over the Inn section of BW from this location.

I'm sorry I can't help out with DHS fireworks question because we haven't stayed in villas on that side of BWV to give you a accurate, helpful answer. Best I can tell you for DHS is that there is limited amount of fireworks during Fantasmic to see from BWV ( mainly at end of that performance ).

The previous posters answered quite well. As far as DHS, well, we had a pref pool/garden view on the corner of the building. Overlooked the canal plus Luna Park pool. From the balcony we could see the top 1/3 of the Tower or Terror but not much else. We could also hear Fantasmic when it was going on but we could not see it.........by the way this was the 4th floor.
