BWV View Question

We have a 1B Preferred view booked at BWV in a few weeks. I understand that most of the rooms face the MGM side of the resort. This sounds great to me--I'd love to have a view that would look out toward TOT.

Right now the only request on our reservation is Non-Smoking.

I don't want to inundate MS with requests, and certainly won't complain over whatever view we are assigned. But that said, I also don't see a reason not to add some sort of request.

Any suggestions for getting a TOT view? Would "High floor / MGM" be appropriate? Are there a lot of rooms that fit this description?

Incidentally, just to satisfy my curiosity, is BWV close enough to get any light or sound from Fantasmic? Don't really know why I ask because the odds of us being in our room at that point are slim.

If you ask for a quiet pool view, you will be right across from ToT. And yes, we were able to hear the Fantasmic music on our balcony each evening, and even the thunderous (though muted in the distance) applause at the end of each show.

One of the reasons we could hear the music was because the quiet pool was, well....quiet! And from our balcony, we could also see the top of the Fantasmic fireworks at the end of the show as well...though they're very small in comparison to Illuminations and such.

We thought the view was great...and would ask for the quiet pool view any day if we get Preferred View again.

As Granny said, a community hall/quiet pool view will get you on the side of BWV that faces MGM/Tot and the waterway. It may not, however get you a view of Fantasmic as it depends on the direction your room is facing. We were lucky in mid-March and got an awesome view from our 3rd floor 1 bdr - #3091 (see my trip report on this board). Didn't have anything other than non-smoking on our reservation either. We happened to check in on a very uncrowded/slow Friday afternoon and got this awesome view...thank you, thank you, thank you to our CM who was awesome! We will always ask for this view if we have to have a preferred room view. I loved the quietness of the view compared to the Luna Park pool or Boardwalk view.

It was fun to listen to the music and see the high up fireworks every night...waking up to the TOT view was neat too. Its our DS's favorite ride so he loved seeing it from his room.
