Any BWV fanatics out there? I know there are some Garden/Pool view rooms that actually have slight Boardwalk views. I believe it's the rooms just outside of the elevators that overlook the courtyard area. Does anyone know the specific room numbers? I'm looking to add a request to an upcoming reservation. Thanks in advance for any help!

Is the Village Green what they call the large field between the Art Gallery and the Flying Fish? My kids have always called that the "Freeze Tag Field" and I never argued with them.

Ah yes, I'd have to agree with them, too!

I got a garden view room overlooking the village green once. Thought it was so cool that we had a great view of the Boardwalk and Beach Club, etc... Until... I tried to sit on the balcony and some kids were screaming and running across the green for what seemed like HOURS! H-O-U-R-S!

I eventually moved the show back inside and eventually had to shut the door. Even in subsequent days, the noise bothered me.

For the record, I usually love the pool view rooms and do not mind at all the happy roar that radiates from the pool onto my balcony. But something about the village green noise I couldn't stand. Never again.

Hmmmm. That's actually a really good point. I've got some thinking to do now lol

I've stayed at almost every section of BWV. I have favorite spots in different places for different reasons.

Most favorite garden-pool views:

1. The closest areas to the lobby. Overlooking clown pool. I love these rooms. Can't beat the proximity to the lobby/elevators. Best part is taking elevators down to the pool, turn right, and you're basically on the Boardwalk. No need for the lobby at all. 1032-5085

2. Farthest wing toward Hollywood Studios. Yes, its the world's farthest walk from the lobby. BUT...if you plan to go to HS, its as close as you can get. Best part? Right outside the quiet pool. Steps from the jacuzzi. Plus, its really serene over there. Close to walking path to-from HS, right by waterway. Very nice, if you don't mind the walk. 1123-4136

Not-so favorite
1. Farthest wing toward Swan-Dolphin. Overlooking the waterway and wedding gazebo. Pretty to look at, but those darn Friendship boat horns
go off right outside the room every 10 minutes from 9am until forever. 1001-5017

2. Village Green - already mentioned: Cool view, foot traffic is loud!

I agree 100% with #1. That's usually where we request (rm 5050 to be exact) whenever we have a Garden/Pool view. I think that's what we'll stick with this time rather than Village Green.

I requested Village Green for my stay in November. Didn't get it, got pool view instead, 5th floor, about 4 doors from the elevator. Loved it!

Not to mention that boat horn.....

So, does anyone have a favorite area to request for Boardwalk view studios?

Top floor. The only time I had a noise problem with boardwalk view was on the 2nd floor. Most of the studios are over the restaurant or next to Jellyrolls. A few are over the store.

So, does anyone have a favorite area to request for Boardwalk view studios?

request:
- upper floor if a spectacular view is paramount.
- near elevator, if you will have a stroller or someone who has difficulty with stairs (there is only one set of elevators, but many, MANY stairwells).

personally, we prefer the second floor (yes, the "eyebrow view" studios :) )....the BW/pool, etc are just steps away, and while the view is not as magnificent as on upper floors, the combination of easy access & gorgeous view is perfect for us :).
