STAYING AT BWV. WHAT IS THE BEST ROOMS TO GET A VIEW OF THE FIREWORKS?

We had a great view of the fireworks from the 5th floor, boardwalk view, right at the top of the Crest of the Wave building. Remember that you can only see the high fireworks, there are spans where all the action is on the lagoon and you don't see a thing then. One night we were out on the balcony and noticed Wishes going off over the Y&BC (again, only the high fireworks) - beautiful, though !

To get a view of the fireworks, you need to have a BW View room. That is a specific category available to DVC members only, so if you're a DVC member make sure you book the BW View category, or if renting points see if the member can get that category. If you're booked on cash, you can't get a BW view, as they are reserved for DVC members only. There are a few other rooms at BW that have views of the fireworks, but they are limited in numbers.

We've also had a nice fireworks view from a room overlooking the entry to the resort. It was also great for 'people watching' - interesting to see how much STUFF people can CRAM into their cars.

IMO, the best view is from the conceige lounge balcony

We watched Epcot fireworks, even videotaped some from the Concierge Lounge Balcony at BWI. I wouldn't upgrade because of the view, but it's there. We were busy munching on "Chicken Wellington" and "Lobster Turnovers" those evenings. Now THAT was worth the POA. </P>

We had a studio, preferred (not Boardwalk) view last August. We were on the 5th floor, over Muscles and Bustles, facing toward Epcot. Wonderful view of the fireworks with Wishes happening in the distance off to our left.
When we made our plans for Thanksgiving, I was asked if I had enjoyed our view in August. Said it was a terrific view, so the lady in Member Services said she would note that on our reservation and maybe get the same view but in a one-bedroom unit. That would be wonderful!!!!!

So, you can get a pretty nice shot of the fireworks without the Boardwalk view.
